OVERVIEW

Abbreviated bass with great tone.

The MicroBass25FL, or M-Bass25FL, is a 25" short-scaled fretless acoustic/electric bass guitar that utilizes a dedicated synthetic string and a piezo transducer pickup. The extended scale length greatly improves intonation over similar models and allows for an acoustic volume loud enough to enjoy without plugging into an amplifier. The sloped ergo-glide top makes this instrument extremely comfortable to hold.

The MicroBass features a built-in transducer pickup with a master volume control as well as independent bass and treble tone controls. There is also a built-in electronic tuner with mute function that will aid in quick and accurate pitch adjustments. When the tuner is engaged, the instrument output is muted. When a 1/4" instrument cable is inserted into the output jack, the tuner is automatically engaged and the instrument is muted. By pressing the tuner button, the tuner is disengaged and the bass output will be audible.

MicroBass models feature an active pickup, which means that a battery is required for the pickup to function. The battery and can be accessed in the built-in preamp on the upper bout of the instrument. The MicroBass uses a 9V battery, which can be accessed under the plastic cover on the backside of the instrument opposite the volume and tone controls. A battery is included with all new MicroBasses.

The MicroBass includes a 5-year warranty to the original owner covering manufacturing defects.

Includes gig bag.

This thing is great the only con is the tuning. Now its not tooo bad but you do have to tune it more than you will like but still it isn't a deterrent just the only con. Well worth the money they charge and it comes with a super nice gig bag.

Comments about Gold Tone 25" Scale Fretless Acoustic-Electric MicroBass:

I saw this bass on stage in Cody Wyoming. It sounded nice and it is light, so I bought one. It came on Thursday and we had a gig on Saturday. I played it through a combo amp with a 12. It sounded wonderful. Three band members initiated a positive comment about the sound. The only downside is noise from your fingers on the strings. I suspect the pickup has a lot of gain. Baby powder helps a lot. I have a small container that fits in the gig bag. Tuning is a bit of a challenge. You have to turn the pegs a lot of turns to see a change on the built in tuner.

Comments about Gold Tone 25" Scale Fretless Acoustic-Electric MicroBass:

I play the upright bass in a Country/Bluegrass band. Many times it's hard to lug the bass around and I own an electric bass and an acoustic electric bass but neither give me the sound of the upright. Then I stumbled upon this Gold Tone micro and couldn't believe my ears. It probably comes as close to an upright as you can get with deep rich tones.

It's small, light, has nice features, easy to play, comes with a nice gig bag, I just love it. It takes a while to get used to tuning because of the type of strings which require lifting at the nut at times to stretch them into tune. Initially it needs tuning every day but I'm finding as the strings stretch it getting better at staying in tune. (I've only had it 2 weeks). I can't wait to take it to our weekly jam.

You can't beat the price, try it you'll like it.
