crap

By Chris-C55Lo

Ok so I ordered this guitar and was so excited to finally own an acoustic electric. I got it in the mail two days later. I open it up and begin to play. Noticing it is out of tune i try to use the built in tuner. To my surprise it Doesn't work. So I check to make sure it has batteries and of course it does. I change them "just in case" still, nothing works. I than decide to grab my amp and plug it in to see if I get any power at all and all I heard coming out of my amp was dead air. I was sent a pile of crap (not this sites fault) I was so angry to find out that I waited all day to recieve a guitar that didn't even work. I hope this doesn't happen to you.

The Best Acoustic Bass for the Buck

I've had this bass for about a year now, and I can say this is a great bass. First off, the Fishman electronics dig out rich fat sound and the body is so much lighter than playing with a typical bass. It makes those longer sets not as painful. I've not messed around with too many acoustic basses before, but this will not keep up with an acoustic guitar and musted be amped. The kicker is that you can practice unplugged and spare either your wife or neighbors from thumping them out of the neighborhood. Another thing about the electronics: You can plug it directly into a PA. No amp required! Lastly, this bass looks beautiful and turns heads. My fellow bandmembers had to take a second look just to realize it's a bass.

Low and behold

The AE series of Ibanez basses are great. My impression is based off of the 5-string version I just received from MF. The mahogany back/slides provides great sustain, and the Fishman electronics blow my poor little Squire ""P" bass to pieces. I never new an acoustic/electric bass would sound so great. However, please purchase the AEB10C hardshell case for this bass (this is not available through MF at this time). The one that was originally recommended doesn't fit at all.
