First off, this bass simply looks fantastic. The cutaway is very eye-catching and its semi-hollowbody construction gives it that more acoustic sound. You can make virtually any sound you want out of this bass, being from jazz, to funk, to rock, etc., with the easy pickup selector, though the tone control does lack a bit. I've taken it to a jazz festival recently and used it there when I had to play, and it sounded phenomenal; it was easy to find the right sound and the short scale helps me have better accuracy, sound quality, and speed. Though it has a few very little flaws, this bass is definitely worth buying if you want cool-lookingness, sound, and versatility in one package.

The reason I had problems with this order, is because the first model of this guitar I ordered was damaged upon arrival - I also ordered a case which the guitar came in. Customer service was very helpful and had me send back my guitar in the case so I could receive a new guitar. When I got my guitar back, the case did not return - I was refunded the price of the case and had to order a new one. This whole experience was very frustrating because this bass was replacing a bass that was stolen from me. I was hoping to have the bass guitar and case together from the start, but it has been one let down after another. The guitar is great, but it was disappointing how long everything has taken. I recommend the product, but I'm not sure about this company.
I am also the director of a church praise band, so my entire band knows the story of my attempt to purchase a bass guitar from Musician's Friend.

I loved this bass from the moment I heard it. My friend had this bass for a while, and he still uses it. He is really satisfied with it, as am I. I love the action. I adjusted it a bit, because I want to be able to rock out on my instruments, without a problem, even though I don't rock out. It's super comfortable, sounds so awesome, and can be used for anything. You won't regret buying it.

First off, I'm a guitar player, not a bass player but started a hobby studio which gave me a chance to be a one man band. I love the tone of the Woodstock era rock so I wanted a semi-hollow body bass like my bass hero, Jack Casaday of Jefferson Airplane-Hot Tuna fame. I wanted his signature Epiphone bass but this Ibanez Artcore AGB200 Semi-Hollow Electric Bass Guitar was $300 cheaper and it had two pickups which I thought might be more versatile than the Jack model. The fact that it was a 30 inch scale did not threaten my manhood even though my hands aren't small. The smooth brown finish and the trimming is just beautiful to look at. I scored the quality slightly lower because on my bass, the top didn't curve as well as it should and it almost looks like there is a seam from the solid part to the hollow part. I didn't want to deal with an exchange and kept the original and do not regret it one bit. This bass plays well too and the strings did not clunk right out of the box. This bass is a great value, plug it in to a tube amp for that lush vintage sound that is heavenly!

get this guitar it is awsom and fun to play with and awsom in the clubs everyone loves it and so do the girls winkwink!!! it is reall big and bulky but other than that i give it a 200000 on a scale to ten it is a great guitar

I've been playing the bass for all most 30 years and have always struggled with small hands and long bass necks. The Ibanez AGB200 is finally a perfect fit for me. The difference in the short scale is amazing. I no longer have to over stretch my hands just to play a simple riff. I can now relax my hands giving me greater control, speed and accuracy. It's also much lighter so when we get to the 4th set of the night my back is not screaming to stop. The sound is good with rich high tones and strong lows, and it looks fantastic! I reccomend this bass to anyone no matter the size of their hands!
