Big hands and fingers love this bass that sports unique looks and a piezo in the bridge for tonal versatility.
The Ibanez BTB780 Electric Bass is known for its extremely large upper horn and double cutaway design. There's plenty of room for even the biggest fingers to access the entire fretboard. The beautiful 5-piece maple/bubinga thru-neck joins up to a mahogany body with poplar burl top finished in delicious charcoal brown.
The rounded edges and smooth finish give the BTB780 bass the look of an expensive executive's desktop. But this is anything but office furniture. When it's time to practice your favorite lines, you'll be working with 24 medium frets, 2 Bartolini MK2-4 pickups, and a Mono-Rail II bridge with Fishman piezo.
An EQA-PZ4 piezo/magnetic pickup active controller for more sound variations. Dot inlays are featured along the fretboard and the hardware is chrome.

I just recieved this bass for christmas and WOW!I have been messing with the controls for days now and I am amazed at the range this thing has, and it's POWERFUL!!The look will also blow you away. The picture does it no justice. It is SOOO bright!Highly recommend.
I did roughly 4 months of research on bass guitars before I found the btb780. I knew that I wanted something very versatile and eye catching. I wrote down everything I wanted in a bass as if I were building my own signature bass. I knew I wanted a good exotic wood for looks and sound. (bubinga or mahogany being my first choices), Bartollini pickups for their warmth and resilience, a neck through body and a piezo bridge. Let me tell you, this guitar has it all. I have owned two high-end Ibanez soungears and a budget model and always loved Ibanez basses but still for some reason have come to revere Ibanez as a maker of low quality instruments. (Possibly because of all the budget instruments that they make) This bass is changing my way of thinking. I have never heard such clarity in all the basses I have owned. I also looked at Roscoe, Zon, Elrick, spector and ken smith and I can gladly say that the btb780 gives even these luithic masterpieces a run for their money. If you are looking for a higher grade instrument with all the confidence I have I would say try this bass before you look at any of the other mentioned. This bass is an extension of my soul.
I would have paid 2,000 for this bass. Ibanez makes their products so affordable, that's why i love them. My BTB780 was made in Indonesia! I have never had a sweeter sound when recording or playing live. The piezo pickup in the bridge is astonishing. The battery is for the Active EQ. I've never been able to dial in to as many sounds as this bass has to offer!
