Comments about Ibanez DTB100 Destroyer 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I'm in a touring band and was looking for a new bass. Stumbled upon this and saw they were only making 150 of them. i figure why not? everyones got a P-Bass and a J-Bass, but no one's got this!

It plays great! Can get a solid, J-Bass tone or a fat, bottom heavy P-Bass tone. very simple electronics. Arrived setup and ready to play right out of the box! Already out of stock and only growing in value! This bass is Tour-Ready, sounds as good as it looks! Satin neck is so smooth and fast, too! Paint is nice and thick, which is good for all those sharp corners. now i just need to order a case!

      Flashback

      By Richard DeMott

Comments about Ibanez DTB100 Destroyer 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I have 3 Ibanez basses and I have been pleased with the workmanship, sound, style of all of them.
Flashback1986: My first exposure to the Ibanez Destroyer was when I was 14 years old, I went to a music shop in search of a case for my electric guitar. It was love at first sight. From then on, I would beg and plead with my parents and grandparents to take me to that music shop where that bass was. It was there for several months until one day, I walked in and it was no longer there. I WAS CRUSHED!!!!!!!!!!! My life was over. But it was the obsession with this particular bass that molded my musical future.

Fast forward 26 years: Over the years, I have collected many guitars. Many I have kept, many I have sold or traded in. But I have never forgotten the Destroyer. One day, I received my christmas issue of musician's friend. As I was thumbing through it, I saw the Ibanez mikro destroyer guitar and that got me wondering " Is there a bass version to this guitar?" I hopped onto the MF website and put IBANEZ DESTROYER BASS in the search box. There it was in all its diabolical glory. I was awe-struck. I have waited and searched for this particular bass for 26 years and I'll be damned if I am going to let it slip though my fingers again. When I called musician's friend, I found out it was on back order. I was a bit dismayed , but determined. When I had the funds, I placed the order. After tracking from shipment to delivery., It was placed in my ever-eager hands.

Playing the bass brought back a flood of memories, the feel, the sound, the shape. The only issue I have is the paint chip at the bottom. Otherwise, it 's a strong 11
I used a practice Ibanez amp when I tried it out. the sound and feel was just as i remember it being when I was14. Aside from the blemish on the cutaway, It's a jewel to behold.
For a guitar that is releasing 120 pieces, I expected it to be much more than advertised. This is a STEAL!!
