OVERVIEW

Precision-made in Japan with enhanced comfort and playability.

Ibanez has enhanced the comfort and playability of the traditional bass guitar design to make the Grooveline G104 the perfect tool that works the groove as part of your body. The ergonomic body shape provides the perfect balance for playing, either sitting or standing.

The Grooveline G104 boasts an alder body with an ash top and back, a beautiful five-piece wenge/bubinga neck, and rosewood fretboard. The neck has six-point bolt-on construction for incredibly solid feel and loads of sustain and resonance. The G104's Tight End bridge, made from solid brass, marries the string and body with no loss of vibration. The top of the bridge is smooth-finished, so if you play hard, it will forgive you and your hands.

The CAP Sonic Arch neck and bridge pickups provide clean, thick bottom end and crystal-clear highs. These single-sized humbuckers with blade polepieces and E4 3-band dedicated EQ deliver well-balanced, traditional tone for any music and style.

Comments about Ibanez Grooveline G104 Electric Bass Guitar:

let me start by saying I love all of Ibanez basses and own several. I have the sr300f which I loved for it being smooth-fretless-material of neck is perfect, sr370f I loved for its smoothness-fretless-ease of playing, sr650pb I realy love due to its bartaloni pic ups-comfort-great sound-look, 2 eurgodyne edc700 I love for the warm sound of the luthite body and excellent play ability.
then the Ibanez grooveline in a class all its own on superiority. this is a whole different animal of basses.
this bass is rock solid. awesome look. great feel and sound. although I did find these pick ups are very hot that you get a little chirp when you slide so I put flat wounds on it and now its perfect. love the arched pick ups. this creates equal string sound easily. the headstock at the sides has the most beautiful wood grain its quit mezmorizing.
if you have never owned an Ibanez some of the selling points for all there basses are:
-slender neck [quick and easier to play especialy
if you have arthritis seting in]
-light body[3 times lighter then some of Ibanez
      competitors.
-sound [warm true bass sounds -ibanez
competitors I notice don't sound as warm]
-price [a price for every person and level of
      expertise]

Comments about Ibanez Grooveline G104 Electric Bass Guitar:

The only thing I can say bad about this bass is that the finish is so freaking nice, I get scared to jump around with it. It's like fine furniture. It's light, balanced and is kinda strange looking. It is really a nice bass.

Comments about Ibanez Grooveline G104 Electric Bass Guitar:

Don't be put off by the unique shape of this bass. It is a very fast playing, smooth bass that has absolutely perfect balance and great tone. It can be played in passive mode with the ability to fade between the bridge pick-up and the neck pick-up, letting you dial in that Fender Jazz growl or vintage thump and warmth. Or you can use the on board 3 band EQ, which gives you even more control over your sound, delivering modern growl or just about any bass sound you can imagine, from bright and slap to deep groove.

The only complaint I have is the volume pot, which jumps from zero volume to about 30%. I'll be replacing this right away (a cheap modification, so no worry).

The body may look odd to some people. It is designed to be perfectly balance when you're sitting or standing. And it works. You won't find a better balanced, or more comfortable bass. And the wedge neck is unbelievably fast and powdery smooth. And the build quality and finish is super high. This is a high end Prestige model Ibanez and it lives up to that reputation.

This bass is so easy to play and has such versatile sound that I have no interest in playing Fenders and the like any more. This bass is revelatory. I can't recommend it highly enough.

PS - It also comes with a beautiful hard shell case that's custom fitted to this bass' unique body shape, including rock solid neck support.
