Just got the Ibanez GSR205EX Gio GSR 5-String , it has alright tone. Action needs a little tweaking but its set up pretty well overall. I will say it is very light(basswood body), the input jack feels nice and snug. The knobs are some kind of plastic and they feel very cheap I will replace them. The battery cover seems a little flimsy and has already come out on its own while I was playing. This is a great bass for a beginner or intermediate player. I bought because I never had a 5 string and I wanted to try it out. I am very satisfied the product is as described. If your looking for a decent 5er for cheap I would recommend this one.
Ok i've used 10 basses in my life and this is my 2nd favorite first being an ibanez soundgear. Sounds great works well yata yata yata. What you want to here now. The flat finish is like a satan fish the has a tendancy to rub. The first thing I had to do to it was with in mins of holding it and that was replace the output jack, on the bridge( probably from using a gig bag) 2 of the string folders a twisted, easy fix, wish i could get all 5 like that because sounds agressiver. hope this helps
