Get the smooth sounds of Gerald Veasley at an affordable price.

New for 2012: The Ibanez GVB36 6-string electric bass is a more affordable version of the Gerald Veasley's high-end GVB1006 bass. Gerald's new bass features an Alder body and gorgeous Flamed Maple top. It has a special string spacing of 14mm at its Mono-Rail bridge compared to our usual 16.5mm spacing, allowing Gerald to play chords with ease according to his playing style. Add in the Bartolini pickups and you have THE Veasley bass. Play like Gerald: smooth, rapturous and fluid.

Comments about Ibanez GVB36 6-String Electric Bass:

I gotta say this bass is exceptional. I love the string spacing. I also like the Bartolini pickups and the EQ. Once I got down a few solid tones that I like its pretty easy to key them in. There were some complaints about the pickups and EQ in some of the forums, but I played this through 3 different amps and it sounds great. I play some jazz guitar so kicking out chords with the 14mm spacing makes this bass killer! Kinda bummed a bass with this price tag and a name (Gerald Veasley) doesn't come stock with a case.

Comments about Ibanez GVB36 6-String Electric Bass:

I think I was the first person to order this bass from MF - in fact, I know I was.
When I attended one of GV's Bass Bootcamps, I was lucky enough to play one of HIS basses. It is an amazing instrument. So is the GVB-36. The finish is sexy. The tone is top notch. So well put together.
        BUY ONE!
Bartolini pickups are sweet. Finish is down RIGHT awesome. Very well assembled.
I've only minor complains, keeping in mind that this is not a $5,000 instrument.
Mine has a burr on one of the machine heads and the eq controls don't feel the same.
But, my oh, my - this is an amazing instrument for the money.
The options that were on my list were all about $400.00+ more. In that I"m not a working musician I didn't want to justify the expense. With that said, I feel as though I got more than I paid for.
