Part of the SR Premium line and manufactured in the Ibanez Premium factory, the SR Premium 1405E 5-string electric bass is designed with high-end features while maintaining affordability, making it the new standard for the serious, professional musician.
The SR Premium 1405E boasts a smoothly contoured figured maple top on a large mahogany body for gorgeous looks and powerful, aggressive tone. Its five-piece SR5 wenge/bubinga neck is also bolstered with KTS™ titanium reinforcement rods inside, and finished with a rosewood fretboard. The Mono-Rail bridge is the ultimate in string isolation for bass. Each saddle is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer and no interference. One screw controls the height of each saddle for easy adjustment.
Nordstrand® Big Single pickups provide the clear sound characteristic of single coil pickups with an aggressive edge. The EQB-IIISC 3-band EQ with mid-frequency and EQ-bypass switches gives you a world of tonal possibilities, making the SR SR Premium 1405E as versatile as it is good-looking.

This bass plays and sounds outstanding. I use a mark bass boost pedal with it.We are a larger church with pro. sound people on staff and they tell me it sounds great.( we use in ears)we play alot of Jesus Culture.

The first day i had i practiced with it for 4 hours and didnt want to stop playing . The bass has a beautiful tone . only thing i dont like is that is that it doesnt have a battery box and the spacing between strings is a little tight for slap but u can get used to it . the bridge is awesome and easily adjustable
The truss rod is titanium which makes for the staightest neck ive ever seen . the fret ends have been filed down by hand to keep the fretboard smoother and the abalone inlays are beautiful . also it is very light . the bass is very versitale becuase of the four band eq . The highest quality and nicest built bass ive ever owned or held .

Its hard for me to set this bass down when i pick it up . First day i had it i played for 4 hours . Not best bass for slap becuase string seperation is a little tight but it does have pretty good slap sound when dialed in
the mid boost switch is great feature . and titanium reinforced neck makes for straightest neck ive ever seen . does not have battery box . but does have nice internal compartment
The bass is extremely well made the fret ends are ground down by hand so the neck and fretboard just feel so nice in ur hands even with long fast slides . also the abalone inlay and wood grain are great.
In my opinion highest quality bass of price range that is sold
