A special 30th anniversary edition with unique gold finish.

For 25 years, the SR has given electric bass players a modern alternative. With its smooth, fast neck, lightweight body, and perfectly matched electronics. With its agathis body and rosewood fretboard accented by pearl dot inlays, this SR can hold its own at the pro level. The thin, comfortable 5-piece SR4 maple/rosewood neck shape and a deep, lower cutaway for better access to the upper frets have set the standard for playability. The Accu-cast B120 bridge is solidly anchored and easily adjustable. The Ibanez proprietary CAP EXF pickups of the neck and bridge deliver clarity and fullness well beyond their price point, and the EQB-IIID 3-band eq provides a wide tonal palette.

Comments about Ibanez SR300 Musician's Friend 30th Anniversary Electric Bass:

This is my second bass, however it is also my first Ibanez SR series bass. I've been playing bass for 4 years now, and I really love how much faster my fretting technique has gotten due to this bass guitar's well-built neck. I also really like how versatile and freakin' awesome this bass is when it comes to different genres: from jazz, to rock, to (my favorite) funk. Another plus is how gorgeous it looks when you actually see it in person. In other words, pictures don't do this bass justice in how cool it looks in its cool gold finish. There have only been a few minor issues with this bass so far, and those are: my volume knob came off (so I just use the gray thing still on the bass in order to change the volume now), and the strings aren't entirely to my liking, for I would prefer even better popping tone when slapping. Overall, this bass is still very attractive to look at, has excellent tone, tunes easily, and is very fun to play. I suggest that you buy it as soon as you can. If you don't have enough money at the moment, save up because this bass is worth the price!
