Just recieved this bass today and i'm very happy with it. I'm a guitar player and i've played some bass now and then,but wanted to get a bass of my own for home recording. Plugged it in and it sounded awesome. Was able to get some really cool tones out of it.The neck is great too. Great bass for a great price !!

This bass really is awesome. I've been recording in my home for a while, but have just been borrowing basses from my friends when I needed them, so I wanted to buy my own. I knew I wanted the soundgear because of its fast neck and active eq. I tried out a couple of older sr200s but this bass blew them away. The only problem was that there was a little fret buzz when I picked it up, but I had the guitar tech at the shop tweak it really quick and It plays awesome, action is low and fast! I paid [$] for it new, and would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality affordable bass.
