OVERVIEW

A great bass for any collection from Ibanez.

The SR375F fretless 5-string electric bass guitar makes for a formidable fretless addition to every bassists repertoire. Standard SR basses offer a wide line-up, from beginner to working pros. From higher-end Bartolini pickups to Ibanez EXF pickups, they are versatile enough to play any kind of music, while SR's signature "Slim & Fast" neck gives you great playability. The 5pc maple and rosewood neck and fretless rosewood fingerboard are comfortable and smooth allowing quick movement along the neck. The maple body provides both style and function. Maple when used in guitars and basses, creates beautiful bright highs and tight tapered lows. Its CAP EXF-N2 pickups and EQB-IIID 3-band EQ let you dial in your sound to the "T" and give you a full tonal range.

Comments about Ibanez SR375F Fretless 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I ordered this bass from on eBay refurbished guitar supplier. The finish was beautiful, the pickups sound good, and the preamp on the bass is well suited for the tonal characteristics of a fretless bass. The bass that I received had a pretty stout back bow in the neck. I tried to adjust the truss rod to add relief, and found the truss rod to be broken. The eBay retailer worked with me, and was quick to address the issue with their supplier. The eBay retailer worked with me to exchange this Ibanez SR375F fretless bass for a different model Ibanez SR bass they were getting ready to receive. Despite this pretty big issue, I was pleased with everything else this bass had to offer. For the notes that played without warbling and buzzsawing against the fingerboard from the back bow, the notes sang with a clear and precise voice. The notes had that "fretless" sound, with midrange presence and growl. Both pickups sounded good on their own and together.

It really is a shame about the bass that I received because other than the truss rod issue, I really liked the bass a lot. I don't think the truss rod issue was an Ibanez thing at all, having played Ibanez basses for most of my playing career (over 20 years). I believe this bass went through quality control at the vendor, and they either didn't check the truss rod, overlooked the truss rod, or whatever else... In any event, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing this bass, as I was in uber happy fretless land with this bass for a few minutes. ;)

Comments about Ibanez SR375F Fretless 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I really like this bass, it's easy to play and no frets to get in the way and some extra low notes on the fifth string. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a five string fretless bass. I started out playing an upright bass so the fretless model is more comfortable for me

Comments about Ibanez SR375F Fretless 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I've been playing bass for two year and this is the best bass I've played yet! It sounds beautiful and it looks amazing. It's good for metal because it has a B string but it's good for just about any genre. It's nice for slapping and you can turn a few of the knobs to get a great treble sound.

Comments about Ibanez SR375F Fretless 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

Fun: Wow, this is a really fun bass to play. I needed an inexpensive backup instrument and wanted something a little different. I am delighted and I got more than I expected. This base is well made, solid to play, and sounds great.
Size: I have a full size standup german bass but it is really hard to get in my VW. The body shape and size are very comfortable, feels better in my hands than my G&L "J" style bass.
Sound: This sounds great with much of that standup bass sound (well sort of). Lots of range, and very articulate as you climb up out of the bottom (I had to cut my fingernails). Pickups are pretty good and the electronics are reasonably quiet. I like the on-board EQ that keeps me from reaching back to tweek my amp during style changes.
Finish: The body finish and the hardware finish are all excellent. I cant find a single flaw (I am really picky).
Strings: OK, but I bought a set of flat-wound strings to try to see if I get a little closer to the sound of the bass that wont fit in my VW.
