A great bass at an even better price point with high caliber features and playability.
For 25 years the SR has given bass players a modern alternative. Embraced by bassists over the decades, the iconic series continues to excite with its smooth, fast neck, lightweight body and perfectly matched electronics.
The SR400QM is a handsome 4-string bass designed for the advanced player. At its core is a Mahogany body with a beautiful Quilted Maple top. Other features include a sturdy 5-piece Maple/Rosewood SR4 neck, a Rosewood fretboard, and an Accu-cast B300 bridge for superior string vibration transfer and precise intonation.
For electronics, the SR400QM features two CAP EXF-N2 passive pickups. Designed by Ibanez, the top of the CAP EXF-N2 is arched to mirror the radius of the fretboard. This positions each string equally distant from the pickup resulting in a more linear, balanced output. Equalization chores are handled by Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band eq. This allows the control to be more effective in creating useful, popular bass tones.

Comments about Ibanez SR400QM 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:
Played it at NAMM and loved how it played and felt. I've tried all the major brands out there and own 2 Peaveys a Musicman a Ibanez SR1205 and a Conklin Bill Dickins 7 string. Depends on the feel you like. If you like small narrow and thin necks like I do you won't find anything better. The body shape is also very comfortable. I love how rounded it is. The model I played was listed as SR400BCW but this looks like the same one. It is also very light weight. At such a low price point it's easy to add to the collection.
