Rockin Bass!

Comments about Ibanez SR5000E Prestige Bass Guitar:

The sustain that you get from Menge/Bubinga is excellant. Bartolini pickips are the best!
I've had the SR5000E for almost a year have have no complaints. This bass delivers a punch that resonates clear and with heavy sound. Out of all that basses I've played over the last three decades, the Idanez SR5000E is the best!!

Wonderful Bass. Plays magnificent. Thin neck, allows ease of play. Pick ups and electronics are hot. Great sound. No disappointment on this bass!

Comments about Ibanez SR5000E Prestige Bass Guitar:

I've got the sr 5006eol

I've had my eye on this bass for a long time. It is an obviously beautiful bass, the tone is even more beautiful.

From a tone perspective, i like how it sounds when compared to the 500 series basses. I don't know if that sound difference equates to the price difference, but the aesthetics certainly do.

Cons: Neck radius

For some reason, ibanez changed the radius on this bass. The radius on their 4 and 5 string is consistent, however, the radius on the 6 is much larger. It took some getting used to for me, but i love this bass.

Pre amp:

the preamp isn't as hot as you would think it should be from a high end bass like this. If i'm not mistaken, you get something like +15db from each band. I've never felt the need to dial in more than 15db in a normal playing situation, but i like the comfort from knowing that it is there.

I've been playing bass since Feb 2003
I've owned an ibanez sr485, sr406 and a conklin groove tools with a custom shop neck (long story).
