A perfect mix of excellent design, premium tone woods and superior electronics.

The Ibanez SR600 electric bass guitar is a real bass beauty. It's built with premium woods, quality hardware, and produces killer low end for a tremendously good price. The solid light ash body offers plenty of sustain as well as beauty. The five-piece jatoba/bubinga neck complements these qualities. The rosewood fret board and Accu-cast B20 bridge give bold, rich clarity to each note.

At the heart of the Ibanez bass is its impressive electronics. You can dial up your optimal bass sound with ease. Specially-designed Bartolini MK1-4 pickups which are matched to EQB-3S 3-band EQ circuitry, with mid-frequency selector switch. Comments about Ibanez SR600 SR Electric Bass Guitar:

Just got this today, no mater what settings I use it sounds like distorted fuzz. Maybe it is the Elixir strings it came with? Strings feel thin & cheap. Most likely going to send this one back, never sent back a bass no matter what brand it was, Bottom line is I don't like it.

Comments about Ibanez SR600 SR Electric Bass Guitar:

So I saw a few videos of the Ibanez SR506 on youtube and looked into the SR series and found a used 600 for a good price and bought it. I had originally played a Squire P-bass before I bought this one. I am absolutely thrilled with this bass. It has active pickups, which provide such a crisp professional sound. It also has such a wide variety of tonal options, you have a pick-up dial that makes loads of difference when you pan from bridge to neck pickups, it has three EQ knobs for boosting and cutting bass (low frequency), middle (mid frequency), and treble (high frequency). It also has a mid-frequency selector switch as well. With that being said, this bass can achieve so many different sounds. You can pan the pick-up dial to the neck pick-up, turn up the treble and middle and get a grungey twangy rocking sound, you can keep the pick-up dial centered and cut a little bit of mid and boost a little bit of treble for a crisp funky slap, or you can cut some treble and boost some bass while selecting your bridge pickup for a warm natural almost fretless sounding tone. Just the other day I stopped into a local music store for the first time and played two spectre basses, a tobias bass, a warwick corvette bass, and a jazz bass and then I picked up the SR600 they had and it was still the best sounding bass there, I then bought my new bass strings which was the reason I went in the first place since I hadn't changed in a few months and went home and "slapped" them on and then realized how much difference new strings make and just how good this bass sounds and especially how crisp it sounds with new strings. I rank it up there and higher than many much more expensive basses. In all honesty, this bass should be worth a few hundred bucks more than it is; but it's not, so you should get it now, it's really a great deal and you wont be upset.

Amazing quality for an incredible price!

Comments about Ibanez SR600 SR Electric Bass Guitar:

I was recently looking to upgrade my cheap Cort bass that I bought off my old college roommate years ago. At the local music store, I tried Stingrays, Fenders, Schecters, Ibanez, Warwicks, etc. I was more than surprised that the Ibanez SR600 ended up being my favorite bass out of all of them! The thin neck feels fantastic (I have smaller hands so it fits perfectly for me). The Bartolini pickups have a truly great, punchy and deep sound, and the tone-shaping options in the electronics are killer. A full 3-band EQ, complete with a pickup blend knob and a mid-frequency selector switch, make for a whole host of sounds at your disposal, from deep jazzy tones to the "trash can" sound of nu-metal.

The actual look of the bass is oh-so-pretty. My particular bass is darker than the one pictured, which looks even better in my opinion. The grain of the wood is not just for looks, though: it's fully textured as such, making the bass even more unique. The battery in the back is extremely easy to reach. Just a cover door with a clasp; no annoying screws to deal with. Also, the truss rod has a sliding cover on it, again eliminating the need to deal with annoying screws.

For the price you absolutely cannot beat this value. The feel, look, and options of this bass rival those over twice its price. And one more thing: the bass itself is fairly light, not a back-breaker when played for long periods of time by any means. Ibanez for the win!
More tone shaping options than you could ask for!
Quality this solid does not belong on an instrument this cheap.
      Seriously, this is way underpriced!
