Comments about Ibanez SR705 5-String Electric Bass:

Awesome bass, plain and simple! Smooth, fast, THIN, and sturdy neck. Ive played other 5 stringers, and this one has a suprisingly low neck profile & low action. Most are chunky and uncomfortable for a smaller-handed bassist like myself, this is not the case with the SR705. Build Quality is TRIUMPHANT! Wide range of tonal qualitys from the PU's; and the mid-range switch is very handy if you play metal and hard rock. I only play through an Ampeg BA115 and it shatters walls on the stock settings. On a side note; this got shipped from Kansas - Boston, and it was in tune when it arrived. I was shocked. It might be slightly pricy, but you get more than your moneys-worth! Get this bass, do it, do it now!

    Awesome Bass

Comments about Ibanez SR705 5-String Electric Bass:

Overall, an amazing instrument. One little thing with it is that it eats up 9 volts realativly quickly. Playing it 10 hours a week, a battery lasts about a month. Otherwise, it is a match made in heaven.
This bass has absolutely everything I ever looked for in a bass of any sort of bass. The onboard EQ is absolutely incredible. When they say bass boost/bass cut on the one knob, they really mean it!! Also every tool needed to adjust it except a philips screwdriver were in the box as well.
The bass came out of the box and it was ready to play once it was tuned. The bass is beautiful and durable. I have already traveled with it and it is rugged, but still sounds great.
It may seem expensive but it was worth every penny for how amazing of an intrument it turned out to be. That is really the only way i can put it i guess.
