Comments about Italia Mondial Classic Bass Guitar:
Everything about this bass is awesome except for the fiberglass top. I will reccomend you throw some flatwound strings on it because the factory strings are terrible. It came set up pretty close, just a smidgen of upbow. And I would not recommend this bass to slap player because it just does not have a good slap tone. However for jazz, and smooth bass lines, or pretty much most genres of music when you're not repetitively playing notes as fast as possible it sounds amazing. It does take out some flexibillity for bleeding the notes together, but other than that and the fiber glass top I love this bass.
First off it has the active pick up which gives it a deep, smooth sound. It does have the pieza pickup that goes through a different jack which is kind of inconvienent, but sounds pretty awesome witha pick. I wouldn't fingerstyle with the pieza, but I wouldn't pick with the neck pickup. One issue with the next pickup though, is that if you play fast the notes just bleed together so it's not too great for metal or those shitty reptitive rock bass lines.
I love everything about this bass except for the fiberglass top. It sounds amazing, but around the sound hole it has no support for it feels flimsy.
You will not find another full scale hollowbody bass nearly as good as this one for its price.
