I purchased my Kramer Disciple Bass four months ago and absolutely love it. It is extremely light compared to some of my other basses. With that said, it sounds great. The EMG Pickup and electronics sound great when I play larger stages through my Ampeg rig. It also sounds great when I play smaller venues through my Genz Benz amp. If your looking for a bass guitar that has the feel and features of an expensive bass but have a musicians budget, try the Disciple...you'll love it!

At this stage in time I'm quite optimistic about this bass. I always credit Kramer with style and technology, so heres hoping they can restore former successes, now as part of the Gibson family. I like the product features and its excelent balance and feel. I mainly play finger style, but extended the wide tonal range by using a pick. I'm new to Musicians Friend and found the whole buying experience very pleasant.
Nice EMG pup and preamp. Solid but light mahogany body. Fast 3 piece maple neck, full scale with smooth ebony finger board. Efficient tuners and bridge. Good looker, especially cayenne red / black split.
So far so good. Flawless finish, no issues, came out of the box with a nice set up and low action and in tune.
A great value for the money. Sounds good through my 35w practice amp. Can't wait to play it through my SWR rig when we jam at the weekend.
