I had adjust the tension rod but not by much. The eq is very powerful! I got this bass for Drop D tuning because I originally play a 5 and a 6 string. Looks like Ill be playing alot of Drop D songs now!!

This bass exceeded my expectations in every way. When I ordered it I was just looking to replace a Fender Precision Bass that I had to return to MF because of serious fret spur. I wasn't expecting much when I ordered the Laguna Bass because of the price but that was OK because I just wanted to lay down some real bass lines on my demo (I was tired of using the bass from my drum machine). Taking the bass right out of the box and running my hand now the neck I was pleasantly surprised to find no fret spurs and the action felt great, low with no fret buzz. I tuned it up and was ready to go. The active preamp is great and the finish (I got the red one) is absolutely gorgeous. This was a fantastic purchase!
The active preamp is great, the dual pickup gives you lots of sounds and the tone is fantastic! The finish is great and the bass is solid and well built.
This bass is well built. Solid body, electronics & finish.
For the money you can't beat this bass.

I have only been playing the bass for about six months. I am a six stringer by nature, but I recently purchased the Laguna and an Epi Thunderbird within a week of each other. I sold the Tbird and kept the 'guna. Perfect finish, great tone. Easy to play, and LIGHT! Great bargain for the money.
