LAGUNA GUITARS LAUNCHES "ONE GUITAR, ONE TREE" REFORESTATION INITIATIVE
Laguna Guitars, reflecting the passionate convictions of musicians, celebrates Earth Day by launching their new "One Guitar, One Tree" reforestation initiative. This plan involves planting one tree for every Laguna guitar made. In addition, Laguna continues to deepen its other practical efforts to reduce waste, recycle and conserve the planet's resources.
For decades, musicians have proudly been socially aware and urged others to take more action, advocacy and awareness in environmental matters. As musicians themselves, those at Laguna have always passionately supported that position, knowing that trees are an economical, long-term solution to many tough environmental problems, including air and water pollution, climate change, wildlife protection, habitat restoration and more. In partnership with AmericanForests.org and their Global Relief campaign, Laguna proudly plants a tree for each Laguna guitar made.
In addition, Laguna's shipping cartons are designed to provide maximum protection with a minimum of material. Their boxes are made from 100% recycled cardboard that is also 100% recyclable, which they naturally encourage wherever possible. Also, in the interests of conservation, they have decided not to print glossy, heavyweight catalogs as millions from various companies end up in landfills every year. Instead, Laguna provides extensive information online at their website (www.playlaguna.com) and a catalog will soon be available as downloadable PDF's, allowing users to print only those pages they want.
As with the design and manufacture of their guitars, Laguna welcomes an open dialogue with musicians and encourages them to share their thoughts and ideas on environmental matters including Laguna's "One Guitar, One Tree" initiative and other earth-friendly plans. All such feedback can be directed to email@example.com. Please visit PlayLaguna.com or AmericanForests.org for more information on the "One Guitar, One Tree" initiative and Global Relief campaign.

I bought this model 5 string ocean laguna bass because the band members in the band I was in advised me I needed a 5 string for those deeper bass notes. I had a Japanese made Fender Jazz, an Epiphone EBO and an American made Fender Bullit precision bass. Evidently I still needed that 5 string. I was surprised at the quality of this guitar. The hardware was solid IE metal nut, great tuners that don't slip. The sustain is amazing with this neck through design. The equalizer and Bartolini P/Ups work well together for some great variations in tone. I don't need to flick the active p/up switch, they are hot enough without it. A truly solid bass guitar. I would recommend it to anyone. I've been playing bass since 1969, mostly rock and roll and blues. JZ
- Was this a gift?:
I walked into a local guitar store to look at purchasing a new bass. I noticed the four string model and decided to give it a try. I can say with great certainty, it is a 'smokin bad bass! I ended up purchasing the five string model. Absolutely the best bass guitar for the buck. From the hip shot tuners to the heavy-duty bridge and everything in between, it is an excellent guitar. Please take time to check one out..you won't be disappointed.
This bass is absolutely amazing. It's everything I'd ever want in a bass. Not only does it look good and feel good, but it sounds great too. Very powerful and very clean. You can't beat the price either. Overall the best bass I've ever layed my hands on!
I heard this from someone-"Just received mine yesterday, did just a little bit of bridge adjustment on it to drop the strings and took it to practice last night. Played on it for about 4 hours and my bandmates and I were truly impressed! I'd been playing on an Ibanez EDA 905, and this thing is so much punchier and well defined. I didn't even use the active eq, and it's got all the growl, punch, and snap you could ever want in a bass! Truly a great buy!"
Was in the market for a new bass (was playing an Ibanez GSR200). Saw the TB70 at a local shop and was intrigued. Told my wife 'bout it and next thing I knew, she had bought it for me (with the help of a fellow bass player), best Birthday present ever! The features on this bass far surpasses what I would have thought were available on a mid priced guitar! The neck is lightning fast and the sound....Insane (you can dial in a variety of mixes with the EQ)! If you are in the market for a new bass, you cann't go wrong with the Luana Ocean TB70 or 75!
i walked into the store thinking i was going to get an ibanez btb 555, but before i ordered it i decided to play this baby, and great thing i did.it is one of the best basses ive ever played, and sounds great! it has 2 active bartoloni pickups for great sound. its neck is also very fast for a 5 string. its neck is as fast as the ibanez sr505. i ended up getting this bass on the spot and don't regret it
"Who would want a bass bearing the name ocean? That's stupid." Thats what I was saying before I played this. Its a great bass. Feels good, sounds good, looks good. One perfect combo!

Played on it for about 4 hours and my bandmates and I were truly impressed! I'd been playing on an Ibanez EDA 905, and this thing is so much punchier and well defined. I first saw this in the store and thought it was just some wierd new offbrand. Then one day I picked it up and was blown away. This thing is unbelievable. I have a Warwick 5 string now and this is right there with it but its $700 less. All of the equiptment on it is top of the line from the pickups to the tuners. I fell in love with it and bought it today. It even has a toggle switch to turn off the active eq so you can dial it in with the pa or in recording. what else can you ask for this thing has it all. You won't be disappointed.
