The best bass Michael Kelly produces throbs with warm, full tone.
The Club Deluxe Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar has all solid wood construction. It features a cedar top, which produces a warmer, louder, and generally bigger sound than spruce, while solid rosewood back and sides give it great projection. The Club Deluxe has a wonderful acoustic sound, and it comes with a Fishman MKAB system which will amplify that natural acoustic sound faithfully. This system was designed by Fishman for Michael Kelly specifically for acoustic bass. Additional strong points are a 34" scale and dual graphite truss rods. A thin satin natural finish preserves the full tone and resonance of the Club Deluxe.

I've tried all of Michael Kelly's acoustic basses, and even acoustic basses from Fender and Breedlove. There is NO 5-String Acoustic Bass that sounds clearer, warmer, or projects better than the Club Deluxe. When plugged up to my amps (a GK 12" combo, and Crate 15" combo), the sound reproduced is just amazing. Sure there is some rattle with the stock strings, but get some new strings like Dean Markley PhosBronze and you're set. And to be honest, most of that rattling goes away after you plug it up to an amp. Just order the new strings along with your bass, don't wait for bass to get to you. But the greatest thing about the Club Deluxe is that the is no real difference in the tone it produces acoustically or amped. Visually, it's not as elaborate as the other michael kelly models, but it sure as heck beats them all in sound quality.Buy the Club Deluxe before you buy anything cheaper or similar in price like breedlove or ibanez, and you'll be glad you did!
when i got this bass i really thought it was a good acoustic bass for the pricethis bass had an incredible sound and great electronics.my only real problem with it is that it gets nics and such... but this in no way affects the sound of it.it is a really good buy...
