Walked into my local music store in WI and saw it on clearance for $350. plugged it in... minute later my wife came by and told me that 'I was getting it' :). So I did. Michael Kelly case for it (and it will be the hardest thing to find) is very poor quality, however I oredered Alvarez from MF and it fits fine (if you can live with a light color). Back to the base - mine was set up and playable right off the bet. Plugged in - Great too - warm, no buzzing or discomfort to fret 14 (fine with me). Electronics... well, I am a big Fan of an Alvarez 600T MK II, thus most everything else feels cheap to me. I considered on trying MKII system in the bass (I retrofited 2 other acousics of mine to that pickup) but not sure how it would do with an acoustic bass vs 6 or 12 string... Again, I think this is a terrific bass as far as sound, looks and quality.

I was planning on ordering this guitar without trying it out becuase I couldn't find it anywhere over here, but then it came in at a store over here. I played it and wow i was blowen away at how much i was let down. I tried it and it had a twangy sound to it and it felt cheap, looked nice, it was way to quite without an amp. I had the buzz right off the bat that others have mentioned. Overall i would say for this price you could buy a much better acoustic bass, and don't buy anything without trying it first!!!

This bass is by far the best sounding acoustic bass I have played that's under a grand. Plus it's a beautiful guitar. I just wish the finish was a little better!

Great Bass, Even Better Price

This bass is simply amazing! This new model has a even better Fishman EQ designed specifically for bass frequencies. It looks and sounds like a million bucks but for under $500. I recommend anyone with the means to pick one up, you won't be disappointed.

Great Look.....Great Sound

By Blondekellyann-m8_Ax

Got this bass to supliment my electric for classic country songs. Does the job great! Only problem is a terrible string buzz on the E and D strings, guess it needs to go back to replace. Love the Look, inlay and soung (without the buzz). Will be a great guitar for what I need.

Great sound, great price

By Calories

This bass sounds great unplugged and amped. Very warm tone, yet has a punchy feel. I only had to make a slight adjustment when I received it to remove the string buzz. I've not had a problem since then, over a year ago. It doesn't matter how aggressive or passive I play, this bass does a great job.

Great Guitar IMO

This is an amazing guitar i picked it up yesterday at a music store and i fell in love at first site. This is one of the most beautiful looking and sounding acoustic bass guitar i have ever seen.In the music store it had some old dirty strings on it but it still sounded nice. My friend picked up an acoustic guitar and we started to play some songs there was no buzzing and the frets were comfortable. I even did some triplets on it and played rough to see if it could take it and man it sounded awesome! My opinion if you have the chance to grab this guitar take it!

Beautiful

By Mike Kelly

from Oroville, CA

At first I bought this bass just because my name is Mike Kelly and it says as such on the head-stock. It is also very great looking and sounds pretty good as well. Mine has a block inlay though and I still can't find one that has the same inlay. All-in-all I am happy with it, but there was a problem with the nut and I think I'll have to replace it because it is making my G-string rattle (giggle now).MK

Wake up acoustic bass manufacturers!

By Anonymous

I would have bought his bass long ago if not for the fact it has a pin bridge. I saw a 5 string Dragonfly in a store and the B string pin was pulled out an eight inch or so. If the pins won't stay in on a show room floor, how do you expect them to stay put in a pro gigging situation? Wake up Michael Kelly!

awesome

I ordered this a while back and I am enjoying this baby every minute. The preamp on it really makes it sound punchy and clear! When i'm tired of my thunder bird I sit down with this and jam. The only bad thing is about this bass is that the bridge is too small causing it to buzz on the higher notes, which makes me sad, but the awesome tone you can get with this makes up for it.AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL ;D
