The Modulus Funk Unlimited FB4 Bass Guitar has a uniquely shaped double-cutaway alder body, space-age carbon-fiber neck, compound-radius composite fingerboard, pearl dot top position markers, and bidirectional relief adjusting rod. The Basslines MM pickup is controlled by an Aguilar active preamp.
In the quest for neck-snapping, groove-making tone, the Modulus FB4's carbon fiber neck will give you a huge head start. The neck is a lightweight, ultrarigid D-shaped shell made from dozens of layers of hand-formed, aerospace-grade, epoxy-impregnated carbon fibers. It delivers unclouded, even tone with abundant low and high harmonics. Because carbon fiber telegraphs attack more quickly than conventional wood necks, the Modulus bass also aids articulation and clearly pronounces attack dynamics. A nonstructural relief adjusting system adjusts in both directions, allowing for underbow and overbow. And your maintenance woes are over. Carbon fiber is totally impervious to the ravages of moisture and temperature changes. From fit to finish, the neck on the Modulus Funk Unlimited FB4 is pure bass voodoo.

I converted over from my Stingray which I had been playing for 8 years and thought it would be a mild improvement. I was blown away at how much of an upgrade it really was. The fretboard has no dead spots, since it's not wood it never requires oiling and the action is phenominal. Don't even get me started on the tone, it really is the sound that's in your head.

I have a 2007 Modulus Flea Bass in a 5A Blue Stone burst. It is the best bass that I have played and owned. The tone is incredible, and very versatile thanks to the Aguilar OBP-3 pre amp and my Legacy Lane Poor Pickup. The BadAss Bridge II and the carbon fiber/graphite neck makes the sustain of this bass unbelievable. The quality of these instruments is outstanding, and Modulus will stand behind their work with a lifetime warranty! The action on this bass is incredibly low, and the you can FLY! The back of the neck is smooth, so moving all over the fretboard is easy! I highly recommend this bass!
