Comments about Music Man Bongo 6 HH Bass:

I've been considering this bass for a while. I wanted the Music-Man sound and I wanted a 6 string, but I was hesitant on the looks. I finally decided to take the plunge and it's awesome. The visual proportions are much better in person than photos. The sound is killer and very versatile with the 4 band EQ and pickup blend. Also the craftsmanship is very high quality and playability is great. Ibanez 6 string necks are too thin and my hand cramps. The Bongo neck is thicker, wider and rounder than the Ibanez but it is VERY comfortable - and I have small hands. I am able to play this thing for hours at a time with no pain. I wish I would have gotten this thing a couple years ago.

    Simply Awesome. Actually a Bargain!

    By Kook a Tron Z

Comments about Music Man Bongo 6 HH Bass:

Buy this bass if you can. The only problem I have is now is that I want to replace my 4 and 5 string basses with Bongos. I was excited to get one. When I played it, it was exactly what I was looking for, a bass that is assertive yet warm and versitile.
This bass can sound any way that you want it to. The craftmanship is noteworthy.
This bass is solid. It is well designed and feels like a bass that you can confidently take to any gig. You will receive compliments for the tone and the aesthetic.
I was in the market for a "boutique 6". With this purchase I actually saved money and exceeded my expectations! This bass plays like a $4000 instrument. REALLY!

    The bass of your dreams

    By Bassman_Jed

    from Phoenix, AZ

Comments about Music Man Bongo 6 HH Bass:

I researched this bass for a couple years before actually purchasing it and there's a reason why you can't find negative reviews on it; it quite simply is perfect. While most basses have one particular "sound," the EQ controls on the Bongo 6 allow for such a broad range of beautiful tones that will let sit you perfectly in the mix for whatever genre you're playing. If you can't get a sound you like from this bass, it's your shortcoming or some other piece of equipment in your chain. Its lightweight basswood body is a welcome change from my previous, heavy mahagony sixer that it replaced. The neck is somewhat wide but very thin and so smooth and comfortable to play. Despite the complaints I've heard, I completely disagree that the price is too high. I've seen plenty of other bloated companies charge up to 3X more than the Bongo for a six string that is half the quality. This is a HIGH END instrument and its price has actually lowered by several hundred dollars since my initial infatuation with it years ago. This is the best bass guitar (regardless of the number of strings) that I have ever played. Hands down. Ernie Ball are the guys to trust, even Dream Theater agrees.

    Bongo 6 string HH Stealth

    By StealthPlayer

    from Atlanta, GA

Comments about Music Man Bongo 6 HH Bass:

I never really had an interest in Music Man basses. But then one day I came accross the 6 string Bongo Stealth and saw that John Myung from Dream Theatre also used a Bongo and I figured that it MUST be a good bass. I bought the Stealth Bongo with twin humbuckers from Beaver Felton at Bass Central and it is BEAUTIFUL!! It literally looks like a stealth fighter jet because the whole thing is black! The best part is that this bass plays and sounds better than how it looks! This is the best 6 string bass I have played. I have owned Yamaha, Tobias, Steinberger, Ibanez, Fender, and others and this bass is one of the best as far as playability, weight, and sound! You will not find any negative reviews on this bass. The 4-band preamp provides for awesome tonal range and it packs a loud punch so you know you will not get lost in the mix especially behind a wall of rock guitars. You can go from Jaco-type tones to modern slap/rock tones to even Ken Smith-type sounds! This bass DOES NOT dissapoint!

    Simply Incredible!

    By TheMusicMan-F.uU1

    from Washington

Comments about Music Man Bongo 6 HH Bass:

The Music Man Bongo 6 has to be one of the best basses I have ever played or owned. I own a Dingwall Afterburner II (6 String), a Rickenbacker 4003, and a fretless Bunker 6 string. While I have different uses for all of them, none of them can deliver the versitility or the aggressive punch that this bass offers. I've been playing on this instrument for six months, I still haven't changed the strings and this bass still offers more growl and punch than any bass I've ever played, which makes it perfect for any heavy metal or rock musician/bassist.

    as flawless as jesus

    By Miller-GQSb5

Comments about Music Man Bongo 6 HH Bass:

This bass is super neat. as soon as it came i plugged it in and right off the bat it sounded amazing. Its so easy to find the sound you love with this machine. I have been looking for a bass that would have the best sounding low b string that always sounds good instead of sounding incredible for a week and then the strings get broken in, but you can slap the low b open and it still sounds great! This thing has such a presence when you play it and its so chownky! I play through an ampeg 8x10 with an SVT 4 pro and its the absolute perfect marriage. These basses are truly worth the money. I bought it because of ed friedlands videos on youtube, check out his vid with this thing before you buy. If you want sound like flea, slapping and popping, or john myung, or even a pastorious sound this is what you need, not a warwick.

    Bongo 6

    By bass_bomba

    from Kalispell, Montana

Comments about Music Man Bongo 6 HH Bass:

I recently bought this bass and I can honestly say I couldn't be happier with it. My verision features the HS pickup system and the versatility of it is unbelievable. The 4 band EQ gives you a huge choice and tones and all of them sound amazing. To me, it's little things like how well the frets are dressed and the compesated nut that make all the difference in an expensive instrument, so I had to give the features 5 stars. While some people find the price a bit much, the tone and playablity of the instrument are as good or better than instruments twice the price. I played everything from Laklands to Rocoes to Pedullas in search for the ultimate combination of tone and playability and in the end decided on this bass. Earnie Ball bought a customer for life with this bass.

    Bongo Bass

    By Kyle T-IQ5ty

Comments about Music Man Bongo 6 HH Bass:

I first seen this bass in the Progressive metal Band Evergrey's New Video Broken wings and I was automatically star struck by this things beauty. I am Usually an odd unconventional shape fan but I just fell in love with this bass. I love the style the pickups the neck and body wood and it has a great sound to match It's looks. When I got to play this bass I was like my god I need to buy this unfortunatley I didn't have the money. that's the only down side to this instrument is that The price in my opinion is a little ridiculous.
