good bass for playing when you don't have an amp, sound isn't incredible, and the action is a litte high, but then again, the other bass i have is an Stingray (Music Man), so you can't beat that.
of all my basses, especialy accustic basses, this one is definatly, by far my favorite!it plays great, sounds just as good as it plays, and is at a very reasonable price. I recomend it to everyone looking for a great accoustic bass
i bought this bass looking for a bass i could play easily without an amp. Nowadays it is used as an acoustic played through an amp half of the time. This is a great acoustic bass, good price, and the sound is wicked and most of all LOUD. I bought this bass is a natural colour, which i didn't like, if i i were to get it again (which i might if it were stolen) i would get a better colour, or i would see if i could get a different design like the other ovation acoustic bass.
First of all, I bought this bass to take along with me on business trips so that I can play in a hotel room unplugged. It is plenty loud enough to make a great little thing to practice on.When plugged in, this thing just plain rocks! It is so loud, I had to turn down the amp a couple of notches to keep it from feedbacking (trust me, I went into a mad panic when I first plugged it in to my Ampeg 6x10 & Ampeg B5R and the thing starting screaming, then feedbacking loud enough to start vibrating my strings.....phew!).This is a great bass for the price. I'm sure the Nikki Sixx bass is a great bass, but I don't see myself spending that much for an acoustic.
I love this bass, i can play it easily without an amp, and with an amp it sounds amazing, and has a sick pre amp. this is the best acoustic in its range.
