I was in the market to fullfill my six-stringed fantasy. Finally after years of listening to the likes of Les Claypool and Oteil Burbridge, I too would sucumb to this most sacred of bass fetishes. After some research I found out that most 6-strings were horribly expensive, until I stumbled upon the Grind. Reasonably priced & a name that I've grown to trust over the years as far as speakers & monitors, now also applies to basses as far as i'm concerned. The looks were good, materials were quality. The standard passive pick-ups were the only change I've made, replaced with 18-volt active EMGs. Now it doesn't just pull the sound off the strings, it beats the crap out of it, heaves it into a ditch and leaves it for dead, and with a neck as thick as a crusty, vulgar marine drill sargent it has the apple-bags to do it. I'm not sayin it will work for every body, but it has worked for me. Surprising quality for less coin. Thats my story and i'm stickin to it.

This bass is meadiocre at best. My biggest complaint is with the fret ends. I honesltly think they couldnt get any worse. I have long nails for classical guitar and the fret ends tore them up when i went to go tap on the neck. Also, in my neck there is a knot, and the milling of the neck heel is really sloppy. If you are a mediocre musician who is just looking for a deal, go for it. But if you are looking for somthing truly awsome, stay far away.

Really I love passive pickups and wood of my Bass. I didn't buy my from this place but over all your looking for a good 6 or any thur neck Bass this is the way to go. IF you have short fingers and looking for a good Bass I would Go with the Grind 4 or 5. I have very long fingers so yea.

Uno strumento sorprendente. i due pu kap sanno urlare. e le possibili variazioni su i toni e su i due volumi, lo rendono efficace in ogni performans. dal jazz al fusion al rock. Per me' una vera sorpresa questo grind a 6 stringhe.
I picked this bass up at a local music store, with almost no six string experience it was the best bass to learn on and it sound incredible. I haven't had a problem with this bass yet and this bass has been gigge sevral times and hasn't given me any trouble at all, over all a great bass for anyone looking to rock a six string
I think this bass is one terrific bass. If you are into death metal or any kind of metal, and your looking for more options in tone or playability, this is the right bass for you! I LOVE this bass so much, it is my best and favorite. Plenty of treble and bass to get that grindy metal sound. Its also good for slap, or even tapping I slowly found out. The neck is VERY smooth and fast.Even though the pups are passive, they still supply you with plenty of power.. no joke haha. But you might want to upgrade to some actives, but again, your going to be fine with these pickups. Overall this is the best bass i have ever played in a long time, and the best price for a 6 string. You just can't beat it~Get one now my brothers!!!!You wont regret it ; ]
Pretty awesome bass, has a really good trebley sound. Really good for slapping and tapping. Excellent quality and well setup.
It's a nice bass and it has realy nice pickups and the tone is exelent, but even after I got the bass fixed it still buzzes way too much, and it's not a bass for people with small hands. Other than that it's a great bass especialy for the price.
The Peavey Grind BXP was the only 6-string bass at my local store, and after playing it for a while I didn't feel the need to look elsewhere. It has a nice smooth feel. It's good enough that I use it over my 5-string even when I don't need the 6th string. The tone controls allow for nice control of your sound.
I went in to buy a 4-string to go along w/my 5-string ESP F-255. I couldn't find a bass I was really happy with so I thought I'd give a 6-string a shot. I was impressed. The neck is smooth and easy to play, even for a new 6-string player. It took me about 10 minutes to get used to it and I haven't looked back. If you have a little more, I'd suggest getting the Ibanez 6-string w/Elixir strings and Bartolini pickups, but for the money this one is the best. The EQ is something to get ecstatic about, but that's what you have a head for. You might want to play with the action, I'm actually going to lower mine a tad. If want to do more w/a bass, and don't want to spend more than this, go with this one.
This Peavey Grind NTB 6 string bass is absolutely ingenous!its solid nck and body plays very smooth and fast, which is nessacery for my stly of music. It sounds great through my Peavey Max 110 baas amp and my danelectro distortion pedal. It has long sustian and an excellent tone. This is the greatest sound ive ever got from a bass. If you want to step up to a 6 string, and want 1000 dollar quality at a much lower price I would strongly recommend this bass to anyone, professional or beginner.
This bass is absolutely amazing. I am a devoted peavey player who was looking for the next step up from the milestone series (not too mention peavey doesn't make a milestone 6) and this is definatley it. Its factory action was a little low for my taste and there was a slight buzz that i had to fix, but it is still worth every cent of the money.
