I am a big 311 fan, and had been playing on a Squier P-Bass for a year and a half and was looking for a new bass. P-Nut uses a Warwick Streamer, which got me interested in Warwicks. Unfortunately, for their quality, Warwicks are extremely expensive, and were not within my realistic sights. Just as I began searching for a new bass, I noticed Warwicks' new affordable line, Rock Basses. Immediately I was hooked and as soon as they were available I ordered one. I play this thing every day, and I LOVE it! My only negative is the 9v battery, it runs out SO fast! I'll be getting a rechargeable one soon enough though, and I'll be set. The tone is excellent, and it has high, low, and medium controls on the body itself, which is really convenient. Besides this, it's by far the most attractive bass in its price range out there.

I bought this bass this past summer after falling in love with it at the store. I traded my 5 string ibanez bass and 7 string guitar in toward it. It has a great sound, great active pickups but they suck you 9v battery dry pretty quick. The quality could be better. Everytime i had a gig or practice i have to whipout my soldering iron and re-solder several wires back into place to make sure they don't come off again(pretty sad to keep a soldering iron in your case all the time). It has gotten so bad that i just keep the back panel cover off so i can do it quicker. I also had to replace the inputs jack about 2 1/2 months after purchasing it due to it's inability to stay in the bass, as well as it's hari kari. I think that Warwick should rename this line of basses 'The Workingman's Bass,' afterall, that's all i do with it now. I really miss my Ibanez. I am now going to go get an Ibanez K5 down at my music store, i hope if you get this bass or already made the mistake of buying it that you don't have the same problems i did. Happy Bass Hunting.

I've owned this bass for well over 2 years, so I know this product very well. It is a gorgeous bass with a nice round solid neck, good action, great pickups/electronics, and a tight B string. It's a great buy for all the features, the only thing it lacks is quality. I've owned two, and the first one had major pickup problems and had to be sent back to the factory. My second one had electronics problems. The wires would break off and eventually my active electronic box broke, and took 6 weeks to get a new one put in. All under warranty though. If you want a great sounding gorgeous bass and don't mind the occasional soldering, go ahead and buy it. It's worth the money and the effort to keep it running.

One wicked 5 string

I played this bass not too long ago. I saw it on the rack, and I just had to play it. This bass is amazing. The low B string is very clear, and the highs are just awesome. If you like Slipknot, or any metal band for that matter, this bass is the perfect choice.

Great sound and quality for a low price.

Feels very solid, but not too heavy or bulky. A nice neck shape makes for a good fit. The nut width is wider for good string spacing near the first fret. Good low-B tension. Very nice pickups. It's a pretty instrument.

The Best Bass I've ever had!!

By David Wurts

I bought this bass in 2004 and I fell in love with it. The sound and the clarity is amazing. The MEC pickups really helped with that part. My only problem is the jack. Sometimes it will short out and that can be a pain. But overall it is an awesome bass.

Mister Migraine

Excellent product. I'm very wary of any Asian-made product, but this bass really surprises. I had warwick Thumb B/O on layaway when I saw this on clearance. Plugged it in and it sounded better!! (and weighed much less) both due to the alder body. (my favorite tonewood) For a 1/4 the price you get an awesome bass. Neck action can be troublesome, so keep your hex keys handy. But other than that, everything is perfect. I play technical death metal, and the string spacing and action are ideal for swift fingerstlye. Great for speedy jazz soloists as well. Slappers look elsewhere, as the aforementioned spacing leaved little room for knobby thumbs.

Wow

By DudISZYSz

I didn't know what to expect. My vintage univox was stolen and I was playing a crappy ibanez, and the lack of tone was ticking me off. I cannot believe how much balls this bass has. For the price I have played nothing better.

This is my first and last 5 string bass.

This is my first and last 5 string bass. Not the basses fault, but i just dont like them. My only complain with the bass is that it doesn't balance well.

It hangs with the best.

A friend of mine just bought one of these about a month ago. This bass sounds amazing. He prefers the tone over his Conklin 7 string. I'm the drummer and the low end this bass puts out is unbelievable. The highs and mids still ring through. This is a powerful bass. The single-coils are just as quite as 'buckers. I play bass and guitar too, I have for over 10 years and I know a good sound when I hear it. The bass is a beauty to the eyes too, that can never be bad.
