This bass is absolutly incredible for the price and can not be beat.

The only Issue I had with mine was that the dots that go down the neck on the top of the bass were a little off and if you are a beginner this can be kind of tricky to fix. I had to paint over the dots and then paint my owns dots in the propper places. A little annoying, but well worth it.

I also recommend putting some round wound strings on it. Other then that you should be good to go. I have used this baby in practices all the way up to big shows so its a very good instrument for the price.

If you're looking for utility and not flash, and you're willing and able to do a little work for it, this is the guitar for you. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
The intended features are pretty standard and as advertised. Came with roundwound strings, which seems odd for a fretless.
This guitar needed work to play well and was sold as such, but it was through no accident of Musician's Friend. The mounting bases for both the nut and neck were not true, tuners were loose, truss rod frozen, the electronics were not shielded, and the string holes in the bridge were not large enough to fit most bass strings through! All these are fairly easy and cheap to fix. The basic wood and finish of the guitar was sound, and the pickups and electronics all work fine.
Quality may be fair to middle, but price is very very low!

Comments about Rogue LX200BF Fretless Series III Electric Bass Guitar:

I bought this to replace a used Yamaha fretless that I bought which had bad electronics issues. The Rogue is about on par with that fretless before the electronics fried out. It was inexpensive, and I got what I paid for. It's got a good feel, decent sound, although I do find that it goes out of tune every so often. After about 2 weeks or so, it had dropped a half-step on all four strings. It's good for practice, but I don't think I would use this for playing out. I have other Rogues, and I'm finding that their quality is somewhat inconsistent. Sometimes they are okay, like this one, and sometimes they are really nice, like my 6-string. I'll probably keep messing around with this one, but if I ever need a fretless for serious playing, I'll get something else.

Comments about Rogue LX200BF Fretless Series III Electric Bass Guitar:

I bought this bass about 2 weeks in pearl white on sale to sort of test out a fretless before buying an expensive one. Overall I'm happy with it and would say . It works well and sounds as good as or better than you'd expect for a cheap bass. I'm a little disappointed with the factory set up and side dot positioning, but I got used to it quickly. My biggest disappointment is that there are black paint spots on the body. I almost sent it back for this reason but figured it wasn't worth the hassle since everything else works as well as I could expect. I wouldn't buy it again if I lost it, but I would definitely recommend it to someone who isn't sure about wanting to play a fretless.

What a steal, for the price I was amazed at how ready to play this was out of the box. The flat wound strings and fretless neck are silky smooth. It's so fun just grooving around and sliding into new creative things.

Tone knobs are smooth and you can get a good variety of sounds.

Also bought the 5 string (fretted), also great deal!

Both shipped fast, for free, and in excellent condition!

Comments about Rogue LX200BF Fretless Series III Electric Bass Guitar:

I wanted to get into a fretless bass but, not to commit a lot of money. The price was very good but, it took me a lot of work to set the bass up correctly. If I took it to a guitar shop for setup it would have been expensive. Also, when I opened the box, the bass was very dirty.

      Problems I found:
      1. Poor/sloppy hardware installation
      2. Harmonic setup was way off (did not line up with the dots)
      3. Nut is way too high. It's hard to finger the position of the first fret.
      4. The flat wound strings were kind of dull sounding
      5. String height was very off on the E and G string. They buzzed.

This is most likely the best buy on the website. Light, easy to play. Got the Pearl White and it looks like it should cost at least 3 times the price I paid. This is a great deal for a fun, fretless bass.

This is my third bass from MF and it is nice! Hats off to MF as they were extremely helpful and turnaround was quick. This bass is great for the price, especially for someone venturing out into fretless land. This bass arrived with no visible flaws. The electronics seem to be good quality. The neck is true. The blue color is really pleasing to look at. A great bass from a great provider (MF). Thanks!

Comments about Rogue LX200BF Fretless Series III Electric Bass Guitar:

Very sharp looking guitar. This guitar was easy to handle and is not heavy. The sound is good after everything is set up and adjusted. The tuning gear for the A string had a lot of play in it but did hold the string in tune; not sure if it will eventually fail with use.
This is my first fretless and it really shows my fingering imperfections and is helping me improve my fingering accuracy. Overall, this is a good product.

I understand that this is a cheap bass, but when they say cheap they mean CHEAP. The paint job was crummy, tuning knobs were not very awesome, and stock strings were pathetic. Being a rock/metal musician who wants various sounds in my music, I needed a cheap fretless to add variety. This was the wrong choice. On the website it looks kinda nice, but it's not. The only pro is that it's lightweight, but other than that it's horrible. I do NOT recommend to anyone...ever...period....end of discussion.
