Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Solo Elite-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

I love this bass. I picked up one of the last ones available new on [@] I've had it for a year and a half and it's great. Schecter puts a lot of work into the setup and provides a great playing instrument right out of the box. This was my first decent bass and I would recommend Schecter to anyone wanting a good instrument. A guitarist I play with has one of their guitars and every thing about them seems better than what you'd normally get for the price. I love it. I'm never getting rid of it. If you find one of these pick it up you won't be disappointed.

Dude - This thing is killer

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Solo Elite-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

After eleven years I finally sold my American Fender Precision bass. It was a nice solid and good looking instrument, but bored the hell out of me, didn't inspire me, and made me feel old. I always wanted something with a Les Paul shape, so I figured I'd probably go the Ephiphone route, but came across Schecter and this particular model. Love at first site. When she finally arrived on my doorstep, it was a hot lovin' night.First of all, visually this bass is a complete stunner. The flamed maple top is perfect as is the finish job. I bought the black version, and it's bad-ass. The black hardware is sick and the mother-of-pearl inlays... wow, just amazing at this price. Nothing here looks second-rate, but instead very modern and full of attitude. Tone-wise, well, it's just in-charge. I almost always play with my fingers, and this bass handles that fine, but somehow it inspires pick play. Now I find myself doing that more and more. Deep lows, snarly mids, punchy highs. Just tweak the sexily recessed knobs and the world is yours. This bass has so much attitude. I feel like I haven't scratched the surface of its possibilities. It even slaps like a champ thanks to the superb EMG HZ's.Then there's the neck. The long skinny sex-me-up neck. After the Fender's classic chunkmaster log of a neck, the Elite's neck is like the arm of a slim fit woman, and you can't keep your hands off of it. It's fast, easy, cooperative. It's your friend and ally. One nice detail is the two mahogany veneer stripes that run the length of the back of the neck. Very racy, and not something Schecter had to include, especially at this price point. Again, lots of value in this piece.I haven't owned it long enough to say it's going to be my favorite bass ever (I've been playing 28 years), but I'm leaning that way more every day. It's just killer and has inspired me to play in fresh ways. It's even inspired me to get a cooler haircut. In my opinion, Schecter is the up-and-comer, a sleeping giant poised to take the industry by storm. They make the old boys look boring and stuck in neutral and the others look kinda cheesy. This is a great brand with a great vision. I have even bought a Hellraiser Solo 6 string guitar since then. I'm hooked.Buy this bass. It'll change you.

          Great Bass

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Solo Elite-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

I must admit that I wa nervous when I decided to purchase this bass. I couldn't find any reviews on this particular bass which helps me a lot making decisions on what to buy. I looked everywhere for any type of review but found nothing. I decided to make the purchase anyways because I really liked the looks of it.First of all I wanted to buy the black cherry but MF didn't have it so I got the transparent black and let me tell you it is a beauty. I usually waith at least 3 months before writing my own review (I've only done it once actually)But I took this bass to my band rehearsal and it did a great job for being the first time playing it. The sound was amazing, it blended with the different song styles we played that afternoon. The neck feels very comfortable, the sound is very subtle, I didn't have to mess much with the amplifier since I got the sound and tone I wanted right away. My bandmates loved the bass and it rocked the afternoon. All and all I am pleased to have made this purchase, I can't wait to keep playing it. If any of you out there is thinking about buying it but are not sure and undecided like I was, I hope my review helps a little bit. I am the happy owner of this Schecter Elite.
