Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Raiden Special-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

Had this bass for a few days now and I can honestly say its the best i've played in a long time. I didn't really know what to expect due to the low price tag (£350) but i can safely say I am thrilled with it, they could easily get away with selling the bass for £600+.

The ability to switch between singlecoil and humbucker is a great feature giving you tonnes of tone options.

Mine came set up brilliantly with a nice low action and no fret buzz anywhere on the neck (which is nice and smooth so very fast to play)

All in all a great guitar and I would recommend this too anyone!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Raiden Special-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

The quality of the finish and fret work is outstanding for a bass in this price range. Pickups are fat-sounding and LOUD. Louder than some of my active basses. I wish the neck was more narrow like a jazz bass, but I've gotten used to it. One of my best sounding basses (don't get one if you want that "active" sound, though).

        Excellent quality control

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Raiden Special-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

Excellent quality control.Opened the box to find a highly polished bass with intonation and tuning almost spot on, and D'Adderio roundwound strings (Very rare for a just bought bass to come with good strings like these) NO paste wax residue anywhere. Frets were clean and smooth, pickupsare very hot for passives deliver a host of various sounds, the fretboard was of high quality and shaped perfectlt. The bridge with the "string thru body" gives this bass tons of sustain. I did change the strings with fender flatwounds and installed a fender Fatfinger sustain bar.Tuners are mechanically perfect and even though the are stamped Schecter-I believe they are really Grovers. This is the best "out of box" bass that has ever come this clean and ready to go that I have ever bought. Killer sound-excellent qualitu control-what more couls you want..

        1st review, my raiden bass!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Raiden Special-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

I got this bass in partial payment for a session I did in Montreal this year. Barely 30 days old and not a scratch on it! First I'll say it's a beautiful bass, lightweight, love the neck, thin but not too thin. You won't find it in the description but this bass comes stringed with quality DR strings, and a graphite bone - I did 'not' expect that!It was in standard tuning when I got it and set-up very good! The top-load or string-thru bridge option is great for low tuning but since I normally tune low-c (C,F,Bb, Eb) I will still have to get the bass set-up for me! No active electronics but the output is louder than the rest of my passive basses.Plenty of sound possibilities from the raiden. My favorite feature is the coil tappable pickups where at the pull of a switch you can go from humbucker to single coil sounds! All positions sound pretty good but I prefer the single coil tones. The keys are stamped with the company name but I suspect they are actually grover. Compared to similarly priced Ibanez and others, I prefer this bass! It's a 'great value' for the money! I would not hesitate to take it to a session with me!
