Made in the Czech Republic by master craftsmen, this neck-thru electric bass offers you all the premium playing quality and stunning looks for which Spector basses are renowned. The Euro 5 LX bass features the fully carved and curved original NS body shape. The body is of solid alder and the wings have 3 layers: figured maple on top, a slice of walnut, and an alder back for a stronger fundamental. The graphite-reinforced, 3-piece rock maple neck has a 24-fret rosewood fretboard decorated with mother-of-pearl Spector inlays. EMG 40CSTW single/dual coil pickups and deluxe Spector 9V TonePump EQ circuit deliver the ultimate in output and tonal range. Solid brass Spector locking bridge. Gold-plated hardware.

I bought a red colored Euro 5 about 3 years ago now, and I find it hard to believe there are any basses in the world that could play much better than this. I have owned alot of different brands--Fender, Gibson, Musicman, Rickenbacker, even a mid-80's Spector 4-string, but this is the best of all. When I am playing it I always think that this is exactly what I want from a bass--beautiful tone that is clear and resonates better than any bass I have ever played. My main 4-string is a Fender Jazz which I also love but this is in a different league, in fact when I bought this I tested a Fender 5-string at the store and sadly the Fender was complete garbage compared to the Euro. Only complaint is that when I switch between my basses at a gig, this bass is so loud compared to any other bass that I have to sit and fiddle with my volume settings for a while which delayes the show. But once you have the volume/tone dialed in this is pure bass heaven I will never get rid of this bass.

I own this bass and it has stood by me well. This is an awesome bass and it sounds really good. I'm aggressive with most of my playing and I play different styles of music on the fly sometimes and this bass makes it easy to be versatile. You can go from slap funk to easy listening style music and this bass will growl when its time. It has a real nice preamp on board as well. It will hang with the big expensive model basses and sound just as good if not better. One of the best for the money!!

I have owned a Euro made neck-thru Spector for about two years now. (Mine is the NS5CRFM) If this bass is anything like it,(and it appears to be) then you'll love it! Great action, playability is second to none, ample tone adjustment, fit and finish are comperable to basses costing much more. I would love to compare mine to the American made Spectors costing 4 to 5 G's. (curious to see if there's any real difference in quality) Bottom line; you won't be sorry if you get this bass. Personal note: I strung mine with DR "High Beams" when I needed new strings. (Great strings for a great bass!)

I've been playing for 15 years. My previous bass is a spector 4 string made in china. Nice bass, but this new five string is unbelievable. The action is perfect. I love playing slap bass mixed w jazz and walking bass lines. The action is perfect for my style. Neck straight. No adjustments needed. Light weight and sleek design. If you are looking for an outstanding upgrade this spector should be a serious consideration.

This is a beautiful bass that sounds like a million bucks and plays like buttah! The detail is very well done, right down to the MOP and abalone inlays, plus providing a set of Strap-Locks for your guitar strap. At fist I didn't like the treble and bass controls with no center detent, but after reading the explanation in the manul, it makes sense. You define your own idea of normal tone, not something predfined for you. The axe plays nearly as well as my Ken Smith (maybe as well), but sounds better and cost half as much. A couple of nits: the back cavity plate should be recessed and anchored with machine screws. 2) I'd like an active/passive control. 3) A separate battery pop-up compartment would be nice. 4) The headstock overlay appears to be black plastic. I'd prefer painted wood to plastic but I guess the end result would be the same.These are so minor I feel guilty mentiong them, because the bottom line is that it plays great, looks great and sounds great. Not too heavy either, and I appreciate that!

Recently bought one of these, in Blue Stain finish.It's incredible! I've always wanted one, after seeing a bassist who I respect a lot, Kasim Sulton, using one (a 90's Europe Series NS-5CR I believe). I can see why they're used by professionals!The contoured body makes them supremely comfortable, it's beautiful to look at, and, most importantly, the playability is superb.I've hardly put it down since I've bought it, its simply fantastic!Highly recommended, buy one, you won't regret it.
