Exquisite Work of Art

Comments about Spector Euro5LXEX Birdseye Poplar 5-String Bass:

Not only is the fit and finish on this instrument superb, it also sounds phenomenal: brilliant and clear highs and a nice growling low end. This is my new "go to" bass for any genre of rock and jazz - but due to the bright and "crunchy" tone I prefer it for rock. I also own a Tobias 6-string that is phenomenal for jazz, but less so for rock. Overall, I would consider this a best buy in any category. You need to buy this bass, if for nothing else but to marvel at the fine Czech quality; you will not be disappointed.

Comments about Spector Euro5LXEX Birdseye Poplar 5-String Bass:

This bass sounds perfect no matter what you play. I play 311, Peppers, Metal, and hard rock, pop, and mostly anything else. The knobs are simple, and won't stress you out. I prefer it to my '87 Warwick Streamer Stage II, and that says a lot. Totally worth the price, the quality is unbeatable. I would give up every Fender, Musicman, Ibanez, and Warwick I own for this bass if I had to pick only one.

Comments about Spector Euro5LXEX Birdseye Poplar 5-String Bass:

This bass is amazing! The major pro is if you're going from a 4 string to 5, there is plenty of space between strings. The only difference with the product details is mine came with Bartolini pickups instead of the EMG's (totally fine as I think they sound better) On Spector's website, you actually have the option between the two. The tones on this bass are incredible, I get a nice Jason Newsted tone from the And Justice For All album easy. I play mostly metal and this bass certainly delivers. Best investment I made, and you the reader should follow my lead.
