From Spector comes the limited edition NS-2J 2010 walnut bass guitar. It features some of the finest features and design practices available. It's built under the world-famous original Spector NS curved body, a design that has kept Spector basses among the low end's elite. The Spector NS-2J bass features a walnut body with a figured walnut top, providing strong, bold bass tone with stunning beauty. The 3-piece maple neck adds strength and clarity to each note, which along with the bolt-on neck joint transfers the sound and tone through the entire instrument. The Pau Ferro fretboard offers crisp definition to your sound, while the 1.645" nut width and 16" radius provides comfort for intricate bass lines and solos.
Hipshot's custom bridge and UltraLite tuners keep this bass in pristine tune from song to song, all night long. Black hardware, natural matte finish and a Spector case round out this impressive bass guitar.
At the heart of the Spector NS-J2 bass are EMG active J pickups, giving the instrument incredibly full sound. With sweeping harmonic overtones and clarity, the J pickup has characteristic jazz bass tone, with a modern broad tonal response that will add new dimensions to your bass playing. EMG's design has a very low ratio of resistance to inductance, which increases low frequency response, while the radiused ceramic bar magnet endows the tone with tight mid-range punch and dynamic high-end response, all with less noise and more signal.
Controls on the Spector NS-2J bass guitar include master volume, pickup balance, Aguilar OBP-3 stack pot, treble boost/cut, bass boost/cut, and midrange boost/cut. The tone control is there, so you can pinpoint your ultimate Spector bass sound.
