Comments about Squier Affinity Series Jaguar Bass SS Pack with Fender Rumble 15W Bass Combo Amp:
This is a terrific short scale bass. I own a gray one bought separately. I bought the package to get a second spare one, in Sunburst. The amp that comes with it is not bass worthy..... it actually sounds better as a cheapo guitar amp (than as a cheapo bass amp). It works with my smarter-than-me phone as an extension speaker to hear music if you want a to hook up a wire.
I'm not here to sell you on short scale basses, but if you like them, this is a fabulous buy, even with the amp you do not need or probably want. I got a great deal on Fender Precision '62 Pickups at MF and plan to plop them in along with new pots into one of these just out of curiosity to see how much better it may sound, but it already is a proven gig worthy instrument (after a tweek or two). My style of playing + the bridge (Jazz) pickup = NotSoGood, so I turn the bridge pu completely off.
This all might be a waste of money, but you may have G.A.S. too.
