OVERVIEW

Excellent value signature bass.

Squier's Chris Aiken Precision Bass packs the Strung Out bassist and songwriter's hard-hitting look, sound and style into a formidable new take on the venerable Fender classic unmistakably adorned with the band's hallmark "Astrolux" logo on the front of the headstock and Aiken's signature on the back. Aiken joined the Simi Valley, Calif., punk outfit in time to make an indelible mark on 2000 EP The Element of Sonic Defiance, immediately staking a distinctive claim in Strung Out with his powerful bass work. Other distinctive features include a gleaming mirrored acrylic pickguard on a pure white body, 20-fret maple neck and Fingerboard with stylish white binding and white pearloid block inlays, powerful Duncan Designed PB-105 pickup, single knurled chrome control knob (volume) and HiMass bridge with brass saddles for rock-solid intonation and sustain.

Comments about Squier Chris Aiken Precision Bass Electric Guitar:

I Love this bass, had it for 3 months. It has an strong attack and is ready to go right out of the box, the neck plays and feels incredible. Only downside is the pickguard cracked under weight of load in/out in the case, I will probably replace it with one stronger than the acrylic mirror style it's equipped with. It's lighter than most classic P bass's, I've held and it sings in a way i didn't think a 300 bass could. The Hi-mass bridge and custom bound neck make this an incredible deal.

Comments about Squier Chris Aiken Precision Bass Electric Guitar:

from what ive researched and heard of this bass through demos and online dealers, this (with the addition of the right strings of course)is pretty much a steve harris signature (which btw has a near exact pickup to the roger waters signature) that's not ripping you off. if you like steve harris, or just a good (not quite classic but unique) chunky p bass sound, get this. save your money

Comments about Squier Chris Aiken Precision Bass Electric Guitar:

great bass. Was set up perfect out of the box. The neck is awesome great feel, fast, and just a breeze to play. pick ups are good. It looks great the pics do not do it justice. Sound is great I have used it for live gigs, jamming, and recording. Everything I wanted and nothing I didn't.
