Exotic figured wood meets up with stunning style and tone!
Using exotic woods normally reserved for high-end or custom basses, the Traben Array Limited 4S brings a striking spalted maple top to the Traben style and sound. Combine the custom looks with a modern soapbar and humbucker pickup combination with 3-band active EQ and you've got one hot bass. The pickups are also controlled by volume and blend knobs. The solid brass custom bridge provides a sonic benefit that you will hear and feel. The Array body is slightly smaller and perfectly balanced for lighter weight and modern feel.
Traben's unique philosophy for building electric basses centers around their large bridges for bigger, badder tone. These bigger bridges are designed to have more mass and more bridge-to-body contact for added resonance in the body.

I bought this bass a few days ago, and it is amazing. I normally play on a peavey cirrus, and for those of you who dont know, those are top end basses. The action on the Traben Array Limited is very nice, once you tweak it a bit. The sound is very nice, both bassy and high tone. It even has the full two octaves. It sounds amazing on both my Ampeq amp stack, and my peavey stack. I havent touched the cirrus in days!
I love this, I have owned it for about 6 months, and it has not let me down. It is great for Slap, and for very fast play because of the thin neck. The tribal bridge is awesome, and when ever I take this thing out of its case it blows people away by the Spalted maple finish. I would Highly recommend this to any bassist looking for a great bass.
When I first opened the box up and seen this, the stunning looks and glimmer and shine blew me away, it reminded me of a bass god would hold if he had a bass with the glossy finish wood and white brass tribal bridge. Now about the sound, it was amazing for slapping and popping..i was blown away, i recommend this bass to anyone who likes woodgrain but with a modern design and feel.
This bass is amazing! I just got it and the pick ups rock, the action is great, the the finish is my favorite. The extra long bridge provides better sound for those of you who are wondering..
I just got this bass today, and I'm amazed. The sound quality is the best I've heard. The wood finish, with the thin neck make it look amazing. The looks are magnificant, the sound is the best, THIS BASS IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER PLAYED
So, for years I've dreamed of having this bass, and now I've finally had a chance to play/see this bass, but locally, and in spalted burst (aka sunburst). Its beautiful, and I have it on layaway... Now for sound. Despite how it looks, it's really not a deep, low end bass thumper, but it has great mids and highs. I found I had to adjust my amp to more bass in the eq, cuz the highs and mids are so dominant, especially with the active pickups. I played through a cheap amp, too, so that may have been an issue. The pickups do it justice, and it'd be a great rock bass or a funky bass (which is why Bootsy Collings picked up Traben for his custom). The neck playability is great, really smooth, and the body is surprisingly small. Factory setup isnt stellar, but a quick alan wrench adjustment of the bridge and it'd be set. 5 string models are really neck heavy, but the four is perfectly balanced to the body, and fits comfortably in any spot. All in all, a great bass, and I reccomend it. Punchy, playable, and beautiful.
