Wow! When I picked this up at a guitar shop I fell in love. The neck is so smooth, I can hardly keep my hands off of it. I got the spalted maple finish and it is simply beautiful. The EQ knobs are very usefull and help you get really cool tones out of this thing. The blend knob also help get different sounds going for you. Grover tuners are always nice as well (yes, it comes with them). I thought the little thingy doodles (as you can see, I don't know what it's called) in the knobs that let you know when it's on the halfway mark are awesome. The sound of this beauty is amazing. The pickups are very clear. There's a little buzzing on the neck, but just take it to a shop and get them to crank on the truss rod a little, and that problem will be fixed. You might want to change the strings it comes with, but I thought mine are good. Another thing is if you're a clean freak, you probably won't like the pick guard. It shows smudges and figerprints quite well, but you can always wipe those off. I got this bass to replace my Mexican made Fender Jazz 5 string, and what an improvement! (And weight difference.)For the price on this bass, it's a steal. It comes with many cool little features that will keep you playing it. I know Traben is a fairly new company, but it's got class. Get one.
