Comments about Warwick Corvette $ 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:
I was never a huge fan of Warwick, there body styles always turned me off to thinking of buying one. While I was at Guitar Center I thought I'd play one just to say," I've played a warwick. the tone was very ""woody"". Very clear. I loved how it sounded. The thin satin finish helps out a lot. The bass itself felt like wood", the body finish was very smooth, not glossy like Fenders. A lot of people will say the pickups are too close together, but I think it adds to the whole sound of this machine. And some may say its too heavy, I think they're just not strong. The slap tone is very nice, and the pop tone is snappy and woody sounded, imagine that? The body style accounts for the balance, and the balance is superd, no dive in any direction. I've come to appreciate this bass and Warwicks all around since my 3 hour warwick experience. Its worth the amount on the price tag, thats for sure.
Comments about Warwick Corvette $ 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:
I don't own this bass, but I do go to my local guitar center pretty often, and I play this everytime I'm there. The sound is amazing, it is a very comfortable shape, and its pretty light. The only problem I have with it is the pickups. Not the sound, but the fact that the pickups are so close together that, if you fingerpluck (its fine with pick, slap and pop) its a little uncomfortable and akward to play. Theres not a lot of space between the pickups and the strings, and raising the action could make it worse. Good bass, just a little akward to play.
Comments about Warwick Corvette $ 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:
Well I played this bass for over 3 hours at my local music shop.... It's a beast, i played through the SWR Headlite amp head and SWR Megoliath 8x10 cabinet and i swear i almost cried because how amazing it sounded... i'm most definitely buying that bass, the 5 string model at least.... with some Warwick EMP strings... it's truly an amazing quality bass and worth every penny...
Comments about Warwick Corvette $ 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:
This bass amazes me. I thought Warwicks were ugly, but it sort of grew on me. I saw one at a local music store and tried it. I wasn't sure I would like the serial/parallel switching. Some brands of guitar/bass the switching is just a gimmick with little difference in sound. But I ended up liking it and ordered one of these here a couple of weeks later. Playing mostly Fenders in the past, I really liked the versatility the pickup combinations and switching provide compared to a basic Fender Jazz. The pickups are a little chunky and feel sort of in the way at first, but I got used to it. The body is more compact than a Fender, which is good because I always felt Fender bass bodies are bigger than they need to be. With the adjustable nut, bridge and saddles, this Warwick is quite a machine for the money and you can do a lot to set it up just the way you want it. I didn't care for the stainless steel strings it came with as I found them noisy and I actually got blisters on my right fingers playing the one at the local store. But that's just my preference. Would have been nice if a gig bag had been included with it.
