Comments about Warwick Streamer Rockbass Standard 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:
Can't go wrong with this one. Some folks complain that it doesn't compare to the German model, but it isn't supposed to. What it IS is a very solid sub-$500 5-stringer. It shares alot of design features with its "big brother" and has the exact same hardware and stock electronics, and non-exotic woods. Pickups are not really "loud" but are really grindy and fat sounding, kinda like a Fender Jazz on steroids. Construction was above average for the price point, and action was medium off the rack. A pro setup will take it down to crazy-low land if you like it that way. Definitley give this one a look if you're shopping in this price range.

Very pleased with it, played live and sounds great. I do a lot of studio work but haven't used it in the studio yet, I sure there will be no problems with it.

Looks and sounds great. I love the ebony fingerboard, gives it a different sound, brighter but well defined but still has plenty of bottom to it too. After I ordered it, I thought I should have ordered the natural color, but when I saw it I'm so glad I ordered Nirvana Black because the the color is flat black and the fingerboard is very dark ebony and it looks very sleek. I also have the German made Streamer 5 except fretted. Great bass too, it only has one MEC pickup (passive) and a wenge fingerboard. I didn't realise how much two pickups would add to the overall sound. When I want to get that mwah sound I turn up the bridge pickup and there it is. It has two volume and one tone controls and it's easy to dial in any sound you desire.
They had to special order it for me because there were no fretless models in stock. It took about 5 weeks, but whe I received it I was pleased. It needed a little adjustments, had it done professionally by a local luthier and now I can't stop playing it. I've taken it to my live gig's and get tons of compliments on the looks and sound.
Comments about Warwick Streamer Rockbass Standard 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:
I've never played a Warwick or their RockBass company's basses before so I was a little nervous about ordering it online, but I'm glad I did. When the bass arrived in the mail all I had to do was tune the strings that were on it, it required NO setup at all whatsoever. I was blown away when I saw how good the stock strings on this thing are, because normally stock strings are very weak. I plugged this thing into my Fender amp and I was supprised that this thing has such amazing tone. This bass is in a very affordable price range, but it sounds like a bass that people would pay big money for. This thing is strong as nails, I have already dropped it twice (on the hard floor of garage) and it has only suffered a few minor scratches. This bass is also extremely comfortable to play on. On my 4 string Fender American Jazz Bass my fretting hand would become sore after about 45 minutes-1 hour, but on this bass I can for hours without any pain. This bass is pretty versatile, but works best with rock and funk in my opinion. If you're looking for an affordable bass I couldn't recommend anything more than this.
