Go lower than ever before.
From the depths of the underworld comes a new bass that will surely shake you to your core. The Vampyre BO "Dark Lord" is a 35-inch, extra-long scale bass that is tuned, from low to high, F#, B, E and A! That .175 gauge low F# is bone-shatteringly heavy and is quickly becoming the weapon of choice for bass players who want to explore subterranean frequencies.
But there is more to this bass than just an extended lower range. The French Ash top and Ovangkol back are lightly sandblasted to enhance the grain and give the bass a unique appearance.
To be able to reproduce that low F#, Warwick chose the active MEC TJ and J pickups, along with an active MEC 3-band preamp. The design team took great care to position the pickups where they will best capture the tones from this great beast. The result is a thunderous bass that is lke no other you have encountered before.

This bass is prefect for the person who doesn't like the G and D string on their bass. The dark lord is smooth to but trying to find the string set is hard to find and pricey.
Ive owned this bass for quite awhile now (5 months) and what can I say? It still plays great. Contrary to popular belief, you can actually tune this bass to the normal E A D G, with some neck adjustments of course. If you noticed, the specs of this bass is very (almost identical) similar to the Warwick Thumb Basses, having said that, they do sound similar. I have no problems with balance here, it has the sound of wood. The only disadvantage of this one is that it is very heavy (probably the heaviest 4 string bass) ... and oh, those dirt and dust kinda get stuck to the sand blasted finish, so you have to wipe it hard before they stick there.
