So the overall shape mixed with the natural look of the mahogany body on the Washburn T25 is almost enough for me, I mean this thing is as nice to look at as it is comfortable to play. The weight is substantial, not too heavy but it feels like a bass should (too me at least). I did have to play around with repositioning the strap buttons to get it to balance just right for me, but aside from that, it is the most comfortable bass that I own. The body has so much warmth and natural sustain, I mean these guitars are mass produced but they are mass produced very well. I like how the T25 is versatile. I can really get this bass to sing but I did have to replace the pickups in order to really bring out the subtle nuances of the wood. Originally it was meant to be a backup to keep on stage but I've grown fond of this bass and the best part is that as it ages, it sounds better. Thats the best part about the woods used in this bass. I would recommend trying it if you can and really keep an open mind regardless of what style of music you play

This was my first electric bass. i only had to work 4 10 hour days, painting with my dad, to buy this. i saw this in a shop, and loved it, but i later regretted it when i got in to slap. i wasn't ready and had no use for a five string. looking back on it, i should have ordered a four string peavey millennium instead. but the return policy wouldn't let me return it, because i got a deal on it because it was dented. but other than that, the shape is awesome, it looks good, i was going to replace the pickups, but i rather just get a peavey. some bridge buzz and fret buzz when popping, and that's why i want a peavey with a hipshot triple lock down. it also needs an eq.

Absolute best bang for the buck !!

Comments about Washburn T25 Neck-Through 5-String Bass Guitar:

I own/have owned a Status series II 5 string, Kubiki factor,Modulus Quantum 5 and other high dollar basses. I bought this Washburn Taurus T25 because I played one at a local music shop and was totally blown away,VERY impressed !!! Clean tone, close action, and very good for rapid fire slappin and poppin. My only complaint, It could use a preamp/EQ, but hey, what do you expect for the price? Long story short, this bass is a great value, and I'm SO glad I bought it. P.S. I'm hooked,It's the only bass I'm playing right now!!

This is a nice bass! I use it everyday, the neck is very, very nice. When I bought it, it needed a new jack but I got it for free. I would recommend it to all 5-stingers.

Comments about Washburn T25 Neck-Through 5-String Bass Guitar:

I used to have some off-brand bass and i played in a band and it had two pickups so it was fine for me. But then I got this and i realize how wrong I was. I love everything about this bass. It is perfect.

Wow! Great Deal on a 5 string

Comments about Washburn T25 Neck-Through 5-String Bass Guitar:

I started out playing Washburn basses back in the day. I got this one on a trade, and I could not be happier with it. Tons of tone possibilities, Fast Neck, Solid costruction. My only complaint is the Tuners are kinda cheap. Upgrade them, and you'll have a bass worth 5 times the asking price.

Good looking and well built!

Comments about Washburn T25 Neck-Through 5-String Bass Guitar:

Just replaced my P bass with this one, after using an el cheapo bass to decide if I could handle going to a 5 string. The finish is gorgeous, the sustain is great(15-20% longer than my P bass)and the controls are simple and straight-forward. The bridge is every bit as heavy as a L.Q. BadAss - just not as slickly finished. That is probably the bottom line about this instrument - good materials, just not super sleek in the finish department. E.g. The body wood - on a $1000+ bass it would be a little more "bookmatched" colorwise, between the left and right wings of the body. The binding line between the fretboard and the neck would be a little smoother, the access panel would be set flush, not slightly inset. Exremely small details, considering the great price. Slightly "neck heavy"(balance), but that is to be expected of a longer scal bass. Average weight ax. After the most minor of bridge and neck adjustment, the action and playability were fabulous, due in part to the typically thinner Washburn neck.

This bass is one of the smoothest bass's I have played. The neck through body really gives it a true bass feel.

Fantastic instrument

Comments about Washburn T25 Neck-Through 5-String Bass Guitar:

This is a bass that is true to its description (read above these reviews). It has the sound and playability usually found in very high end basses. The jazz pickups are fantastic and this bass can cover ALL grounds (slap, pop, pick, tap, anything, which is awesome for a 5 string). It was great right out of the box: the construction was beautiful, as was the finish. The stock strings are decent, but you may need to change them to more durable ones sometime. If you are an advanced player, buy this bass right now to save your wallet from the terror of exorbitantly priced Tobiases and unreachable Warwicks. On the other side of the fence, if you are an intermediate player (or experienced beginner), but this as your stepping stone to one of those really expensive basses.

Comments about Washburn T25 Neck-Through 5-String Bass Guitar:

I have owned my t25 for about 7 months now and am still finding different sounds and sttyles to get out of it. From slapping to picking this bass does the job I recommend it to anyone. And for the price it is a bargain.
