The Washburn T12 Electric Bass Pack is truly a cut above. The main components are the Washburn T12 electric bass and a Washburn 15 wattBass Combo Amp. Both are quality pieces of musical gear from respected, well-known manufacturers. The bass pack also comes with a gig bag, clip-on tuner, strap, cable, picks, and a Learn to Play Electric and Acoustic Bass DVD that features the Rock House Method.
The Washburn T12 bass is crafted with a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fretboard and a basswood body. It also has a split-coil pickup, pickup controls, die-cast tuners, and chrome hardware.
The Washburn 15 Watt bass combo amp is designed with the beginning bassist in mind, and comes with 15W power, durable plywood construction, Tolex cover, 4-band EQ, a headphone jack and master volume. I got this package for my boyfriend for Christmas and he is incredibly happy with the quality. He doesn't know the price I paid but I am quite pleased with the deal. The sound is great, neck is straight, no flaws at all. Just perfect.

Caveat: I am a guitarist that bought this to have a spare bass around. The bass included in this package is lightweight, plays pretty well, and stays in tune. The pickup output seems a bit weak, but does OK. Paint near the neck has already started falling off. The amplifier is small and sounds it. It seems more like a toy than a piece of musical equipment. I played with a couple of times before putting it away and plugging in to a guitar amp. I would recommend the package for a beginner given the playability of the bass and the fact that you do get a full package. Others might want to look elsewhere.

i got this bass a couple months ago and it sounds great. its got nice tone, good action, looks prety nice. the amp is also prety great. it gets prety loud for its size it buzzes a tiny bit but not loud enough to prevent me from playing it. the strap and the dvd are pretty good, the cords kinda short, and the tuner just sucks it died on me within 3 weeks so u might want to pick up a better one. so over all the Washburn Taurus T12 Electric Bass Pack is a pretty good buy

Its great, I have used it at my friends music store and the sound of this bass is very satisfactory.I'm impressed by the Amp...40W! its 25W more powerful then normal bass value packs' amps. The usual amps are not for playing with band, but this one is certainly capable.I recommend it to mostly beginners, but also intermediates! its great! buy it! no regrets!
