Comments about Alfred Pro Tools 101 An Introduction to Pro Tools 10 Book & DVD:
I never touched pro tools before, i always steered away based on bad reveiws from people i knew...i bought PT10 after seeing the reveiws on it, and i was LOST...it was impossible to figure out, in fact, had it three weeks and couldnt even record one sound....i bought this not expecting to become a pro by any means, but to give me a grasp on how the basis functions work....within ONE MONTH(it takes some time to complete) i was recording vocals, using the well stocked effects suite to give that pro sound to my vocals, making quality beats thru rewire(reason 6.5), and mastering tracks down with ease.....it won't make you a TOTAL expert, and doesnt teach much on hip hop style vocal editing, or beat making.....but then again, if you are making the step up to PT10, more than likley you have used other programs and have basic techniques down pat....buy PT101 and get a complete run thru of all features and effects...this should come with the DAW, its deff. nessisary to have....GREAT PRODUCT
