Comments about Alfred Ultimate Beginner Series: Alto Saxophone, Volume I Video:
I received this video a day before I received my new alto saxaphone. The video is presented in a simple format that is a "must see" for a new saxaphone student. It begins with how to pick up a saxaphone from the case, and the importance of hooking it up to the neck strap immediately to have control over the assembly. In fact before the saxaphone ever leaves the case the neck strap is on. The careful step-by-step instructions are easy to follow until the mouthpiece is on. I feel that I was shortchanged in school. This video gives techniques and care that will last a lifetime. Every step on the video leads to the actual playing of your first two songs. The way the saxaphone is taken apart, to cleaning habits and wiping the saxaphone before carefully and properly placing into the case is all presented professionally and with care so the new student will understand and appreciate his/her new sax. I would recommend this video.
