I LOVE this book!

I actually really love this book! I have read them ALL. I have a full bookshelf of songwriting books and this one is really fun to read. I think it is loaded with tools to how to generate ideas on your own in different ways. If you want specific ideas check out the Songwriter Idea book (forgot the exact title). I think the Frustrated Songwriter's Handbook is unique.. so much that I gave my copy to a friend and bought myself a replacement. I think the 20 song challenge is brilliant and will be trying it soon. Definitely check this book out. It is awesome!!!

Good idea-ish

Comments about Backbeat Books Frustrated Songwriter's Handbook:

I bought this book hoping to get some good ideas for overcoming writer's block. I ended up getting a full guide to one idea which took about 5 pages to explain. The entire rest of the book is a promotion for this one idea. Don't get me wrong the idea isn't bad. But this book would have been better with many ideas or as a short article in a blog.
