Surf's up with these tabs!

Comments about Creative Concepts The Ventures Pipeline Guitar Tab Songbook:

If you want great solo arrangements of surf songs, The Ventures Pipeline Songbook is probably the best book for you. The arrangements are about as good as they get for making a solo sound like three guitars in one. Don Libertino did a great job making the transcriptions. Surf genre being pretty simple, and with good tabs, a portion of these songs could be a healthy stretch for beginners. I dinged it for no CD at this price and I was expecting more Venture history instead of the lame interviews. Ironically, I did find a better version of their classic "Walk, Don't Run" in a different publication. Warning! Unless you have reverb and a whammy bar on a strat, don't go surfing with this book. Otherwise, you'll be ordering a new amp and a Fender Strat from Musician's Friend shortly!
