Comments about Hal Leonard Beatlemania 1967-1970 Volume 2 Piano, Vocal, Guitar Songbook:

It happens with free guitar tab all the time, but I would not expect a published songbook to have songs written out of key. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why Hal Leonard would do this. The one song in particular I wanted to learn to play using real scores, Mother Nature's Son, was recorded by the Beatles in the key of D. For some unknown reason, this book has that song in B flat! As you can guess, this takes a lot of fun out of playing along with the recording. The book is otherwise decently written for the price and the number of songs in it. Not all the songs are out of key (two of which are I Am the Walrus and Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds), but the ones that are (Don't Let Me Down, Sgt. Pepper are a couple) really tick me off.Unless you plan to never play these songs with another musician (who probably learned them in the correct key), I would not recommend getting it. I also don't think it's refundable, so I'm stuck with mine. I'm gonna save up the money and pray that the Beatles Complete Scores book is correct to the recordings.
