Comments about Hal Leonard Elmore James - Master of the Electric Slide Guitar:

I'm an experienced Blues guitarist of 35 years and decided about 1 month ago to learn the slide. This book is it! I bought 3 different slides to use on my Fender FR-50 Resonator and this book. If you want to learn slide, read all the info in the begining of this book regarding Elmore's signature licks and chords. Also practice sliding back and fourth between the minor pentatonic scales that Elmore used and in no time at all you'll be playing slide. Great book and after 1 month of using this book, I really sound pretty good. I'm very surprised at how quick I picked this style up and now i'm improvising and developing my own style. If there's a part that you can't quite grasp, then improvise with something that sounds good to you. It will make learning more fun and you won't quit.
