Comments about Hal Leonard First 50 Songs You Should Play On Acoustic Guitar:

This book SOUNDED like a great idea, and included song titles of interest to a variety of players. However, without any downloadable or CD audio tracks, essentially no tab (only a rare section of it here and there), NO "real music", nothing to indicate the melody for someone trying to sing along, no suggested strum patterns, playing "speed" only listed as "slow, moderate, fast" etc. (no beats per minute clues), It's just a book of lyrics with chord names listed over lyrics, and groups of chord names in a row for instrumental sections of songs. I don't see how this book would be of any use to ANYONE that didn't already know the songs, or have those songs available to listen to via their own CD's, MP3 or other audio files.
