When they say intro...

Comments about Hal Leonard Introduction to Guitar Tone and Effects (Book/CD):

I bought this book thinking it would give me some super secret to getting great tone that I didn't know. But believe me, when they say introduction, they mean introduction. It provides basic knowledge of the most common guitar effects, and a nifty map on where to put (and not to put) certain effects in a series. I rated this book based on what I learned; don't get me wrong, it did give a few pointers. Overall I didn't get alot out of this book, and would encourage people to pick more experianced players brains on the subject. However, if you're just now starting to learn, then this book is great to learn the basics.
